A Little TLC has been a favorite among our repeat tenants who consider it their home away from home. Reading through the guest book, some common themes pop-up. Extended families rave about the special touches: “This is truly named ’TLC’! We have felt so at home and cared for!” The home is the perfect setting for appreciating the local wildlife, as it abounds with birds, rabbits, squirrels, and deer: “This has become our favorite vacation home. Coffee on the deck every morning with our birds is so wonderful.” If a rainy day comes your way, there are plenty of activities to be found inside: “The house is great! We played lots of cards and put puzzles together; thanks for bagging the pieces!”
This newly renovated home has a large living room with a wood burning fireplace and a family room area with a beautiful electric fireplace, eat in country kitchen, and a wrap around deck with soft views of the surrounding mountains. A new entertainment center has an additional satellite receiver, TV, DVD, VCR, stereo, and over 300 movies and music CDs. A Little TLC Chalet has a level yard with plenty of place to play, woods to explore, a barbecue pit, and a meditation area. It is just minutes from Julian Price Park and Grandfather Mountain. Great home for cyclists, or hikers, as it’s located less than one mile on paved road from Blue Ridge Parkway entrance. A wonder retreat for one person, a couple, or a group.
Sleeps 12 with 1 king, 1 queen, 4 twins, 1 queen sleep sofa in main floor living room, and 1 double futon in family room downstairs. King and queen on main level; upstairs has two bedrooms with 2 twins each. Parking for 2 to 3 on upper level entrance, and 2 or 3 on lower level driveway. NO SMOKING! Small dog allowed with $60 pet fee.

| We had 14 people stay in this home for vacation, and we were never "on top of each other." It is very spacious and well maintained. 6 of the 14 people were children ranging from 3 months to 12 years old. They were never bored. The yard is great for playing outside and you are not far from downtown (with the candy store and ice cream store). There is a wrap around porch/deck that is great for reading a book and relaxing. There were a few minor problems with the house, but they were all just "wear and tear". Jenkins realty was great to work with. We had to call them because on of the TV's would not work. They came out the same day we called to fix it. They were always very helpful on the phone and over the internet. If we decide to vacation here again, we will be sure to use Jenkins Realty and try to get this house again. We cam during the summer, and I bet it is even more beautiful during the winter months. |
