Day Dreamin' is tucked in the woods in Fair Mountain Acres [about 4.5 miles from downtown Blowing Rock off Hwy. 221]. Nearly new 2 bath, 2 bedroom plus loft log cabin. Enjoy everything the High Country has to offer within a short drive from this secluded vacation retreat. Sleeps 6. The open great room has a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, a dining table for 6, and a living room with wood-burning fireplace, satellite TV and DVD/VCR. You will love the open master bedroom. Located upstairs in the loft, it has a full bath with a Jacuzzi tub, plus a private balcony. The other two bedrooms [with 1 queen and 1 double] share a full bathroom on the main level. Enjoy the woods from the covered back deck. NO SMOKING!! Day Dreamin' allows dogs with a $60 pet fee; an enclosed dog kennel is located in the basement. Gravel parking for 3-4; need four-wheel drive during winter weather.

Wonderful home--loft might be an issue though |

| The home is very nice, good location. This was not an issue for us because we have young children put to bed early in a downstairs bedroom with their door closed. However, I didn't realize when we rented that the master bedroom was an open loft. There is no door to close off that room. I could see how that might be an issue if you wanted any privacy, had 2 families in the house for example.. There is no door toclose even for changing clothes, etc. With that said, the master bedroom is very large, very nice...just no privacy! So, I would recommend the property as long as that perticular point wasn't an issue for you. |

| I love the mountains and Boone is a fantatic place to have a retreat. The cabin, DayDreamin was very cozy tucked away in the woods on the mountain. My family had a lovely stay. the propery was near Boone for great dining and near skiing for lots of fun in the snow. Very relaxing and calming...has a great time. |

If you're looking for a beautiful cabin in the North Carolina
mountains, this one is fantastic. When we were there, the road
to the cabin was a little rough but in good weather we made it
fine in a car without AWD or four wheel drive. I can see how
things could change in snow or mud. Otherwise, the cabin is
relatively new, very well kept, and comfortable. Very open
downstairs floor plan with two bedrooms, bathrooms, den and
kitchen/dining area. There is a loft upstairs with full bath. The
cabin is conveniently located in the High Country with the towns
of Blowing Rock and Boone short drives away. I definitely
recommend this property and will likely return. |
