This recently restored, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, two story log cabin is situated in a lovely pastoral setting [between Boone and Blowing Rock off Friendship Church Road]. Beautifully decorated home with original art, mosaic-tiled bathrooms, antique furniture, wood floors and skylights.
First floor has fully equipped kitchen, dining room with 3-5 top table, and living room with wood fireplace and piano. Master bedroom has 1 queen, large work desk, full bath, and private entrance. Two bedrooms upstairs [kids room with bunk bed; other room with full bed and bay window]. Upstairs living room has the entertainment center and trundle bed [two twins]. The kids can safely play in the yard or watch a DVD/VHS [no cable] upstairs, while the adults can cozy up to a wood fire downstairs, or cook out on the charcoal grill and dine in the gazebo. NO SMOKING!! NO PETS!! Sleeps 8. Parking for 3-4.

| The home was located a little tood far from town, but was newly renowated and beautifull on the inside. Whit 3 little kids it was a great place for them to run around and exsplore nature. It was very peacefull and quiet. |

AWESOME WEEKEND |

The weekend of October 31,2008 my five children and I had a fabulous weekend at Friendship House (a lovely log cabin). The house was wonderful, the layout was great, the rooms large. We had plenty of room for six.
My older girls loved the bunk beds, and the younger girls love sharing the "bay window" bedroom. My son got a kick out of the "trundle" bed. The closet was stocked full of games, movies, and DVDs to keep them busy when they weren't outside in the huge yard playing in the large bushes and at the brook.
The house is very private and there are no close neighbors. I loved cooking on the gas stove and keeping the fire going in the fireplace. Only problem - the house had a strong "musky" smell when we arrived and we had to air it out well. Fortunately it was a beautiful weekend and the fresh air was wonderful.
The owners made the house welcoming with thoughtful extras including music books for the piano, binoculars for bird watching, etc.
I would rent this house again and I definately recommend Jenkins Rentals to anyone who is visiting the Blowing Rock, NC area. |
