Enjoy home cooking in the newly remodeled, well-equipped kitchen. Rumpus room on lower level has ping-pong table, electronic dartboard, and a sleeper sofa for extra guest. Cable TV/DVD/VCR/stereo, plus video tapes, books, and games.
Sleeps 10 with 3 queens and 2 queen size sleeper sofa.
This cottage is located down a grassed lane only 3 miles from Blowing Rock down Hwy. 221. Gravel parking for 1-2; four-wheel drive in winter weather is suggested. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING!! NO PETS!!

Great escape place |

| This was a perfect location to escape for a quiet week away from home. Close enough to Blowing Rock yet away from all the crowds. The house was very comfortable and everything was included except sheets and towels. The view from the back deck was breathtaking, and I spent a lot of time outside. Close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and convenient to lots of scenic spots. Very quiet here, and it was great having my own house to stay in rather than a hotel. |

What a view! Probably one of the most spectacular during sunsets in the area...multitude of mountain ranges. Also, the property is close to town. The kitchen was updated, and there is a great ping pong table downstairs which we truly enjoyed, not to mention a front row seat down the little road in front of the house for the fireworks on the 4th.
Here are our reservations:
Not enough chairs or furniture on the deck..only two old ones we didn't even use..we had brought our own. No barbeque grill! Gotta have that for sure. None of the windows open in the main living area. Phone was not available for emergencies. No internet.
Deck railings are very unstable.
Rent was steep, and we have stayed in many places much more well-equipped for the money...but then...ahh...the view! |

| We stayed at this property for the week with my parents and sister. We have 3 young children and went down a few days earlier. We found the house in good condition and really enjoyed the rumpus room. We had plenty of room for all of us and would stay there again. The only problem with had with the house was the drive way needed mowing and it was rocky and hard to see the bumps ahead of time. This issue was resolved while we were there, after all grass grows fast in the summertime. It was located in a great place close but not too close to surrounding activities. |
