The Prairie House in Brown County Indiana This country brick home is tucked away in the center of approximately 1 acre of mowed grass, but surrounded by acres of native warm season grasses and woods. We have spent the past 4 years converting much of the flat areas back to grasses and wild flowers that would have been growing a hundred years ago. We have mixed in strips of food plots for the wildlife critters. Enjoy sitting on the back deck having your morning coffee/breakfast watching the sun rise and the wild birds feeding their young. We have Blue Bird nest boxes positioned in several key areas so that you may watch them flit about courting and feeding their young. Sit in your kitchen and watch the bird feeders to count the many different species of birds enjoying a meal. Watch the wild turkey, deer, quail, fox, rabbit, etc enjoy wandering through the grasses. We even have been able to get pictures of a Tom turkey strutting with his tail feathers spread courting his hens! In the evening, gather around the campfire (firewood furnished but bring your own starter)....and watch the stars come out! This vacation home has 3 bedrooms: one bedroom has a queen sleigh bed ,the second bedroom has one king bed , and the third bedroom has 2 twin beds. There are 2 full baths in this vacation home. The living area of Prairie House has an open floor plan with a full kitchen . You have plenty of space to relax, watch satellite TV/DVD/VCR, and visit with family and friends. The dining dining room table expands to accommodate 10 people. The 2 car garage has a full size ping pong table ready for play. This home is for the guests that like their privacy, nature, and the great outdoors! The house has all the comforts..air conditioning, ice maker, dishwasher, wood burning fireplace (bring your own starter, but the wood is furnished), etc....and outside you can bring your croquet game, badminton, or toss the Frisbee!
