Woods Edge Vacation Cabin You can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the woods and the sounds of nature. There are also plenty of activities to enjoy. There are thousands of acres of state ground around the area. You can hike behind the house or try some of the other trails. Crooked Creek launching ramp on Lake Monroe is just down the road 1 mile. You can canoe, kayak, fish (bring your own boat) or just enjoy the soothing view. Crooked Creek Lake, a small and peaceful lake with good fishing is also nearby. Our cottage is 8 miles from Nashville and Bloomington. Wood’s Edge is 3 miles off of Highway 46. In Nashville, you can shop at the local antique and craft stores, see shows or just enjoy the beautiful town. In Bloomington, you can enjoy IU sporting events and graduation. Bloomington also has a wide variety of other activities all year round. Then return to Wood’s Edge for your relaxing evening in the hot tub or sitting on the deck. This wonderful cottage has 2 large decks where you can relax. The large deck has a hot tub that sits in the woods. You have a beautiful view looking up into the trees. From your seat in the warm relaxing hot tub you can sometimes see deer and turkey cross on the hill. Listen to the birds during the day, owls and coyote at night. The deck has rail lights and tiki torches for a romantic setting. The other deck is off the kitchen and has a charcoal grill and comfortable deck chairs. While enjoying the inside of the house you will notice beautiful hard wood floors in the living and dining rooms. Tv/dvd with satellite for your viewing pleasure. There is a very nice vine wrapped lamp topped off with a beautifully crafted turkey feather lampshade. The owner of this cottage has also made a vine wrapped chess/checker board to play on. There are many interesting wall hangings to look at. Bedrooms: A queen size bed and paintings that make you feel like you are totally in the woods. The other bedroom has a queen size bed with beautiful patchwork comforter and a window overlooking the hot tub and up into the woods. Kitchen : fully stocked with dishes, utensils and cookware, coffee maker, blender, toaster, mixer, and microwave. Just bring your food and drinks. Basement: if you desire a challenge, there is a bumper pool and various board games. There is also a set of books if you just want to relax with a good story. There is a patchwork daybed and comfortable chair as well as tv/vcr/dvd with satellite for your viewing enjoyment. The basement gives you a feeling of being in a lodge setting. Look around and you will see bear, deer, coyote and turkey. When you come to our place, here at Wood’s Edge, you can feel the stress leave your body and you can relax and enjoy the peaceful life.
