This three bedroom, two and a half bath air conditioned raised Franconia Ranch style home enjoys the benefits of being close to Franconia Town Center and just minutes from Franconia Notch State Park. All the White Mountains has to offer is really just outdoors. Vacationers staying at The Herbert House will enjoy usage of one of two attached garage bays. Nicely furnished with new hard wood floors throughout, features include a fully equipped kitchen, a separate dining area and living room with wood burning stove. The bedroom on the main level offers a full size bed with private bath while the second and third bedrooms are on the upper level. One offers a full size bed, the other two twins and they share a full bath between them. The large yard is highlighted by high-yielding blueberry bushes for summer guest enjoyment and a 3 season porch for those cooler or perhaps buggy New Hampshire evenings. Another potential bonus in the summer would be the A/C, as all the bedrooms have coverage. The house was perfect. It had three good sized bedrooms, two full baths and a quarter bath. The living room was large and the kitchen and dining rooms were good sized. The house was well furnished and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes/cups/utensils.. There were air conditioners in each of the bedrooms. There were working smoke detectors throughout the home too.
The house is close to all activities. You are minutes from Franconia Notch, Littleton, and the Kanc. You are 1/2 hour from Conway/Bartlett and the other side of the Kanc. You are close to anything that you would want to do and anywhere that you would want to go. Like I said, it's pefectly located.
The only thing that I did not like about the house was that there were no screens in the windows, so, that made it hard to leave them open for any length of time for fresh air. The windows that had screens in them were stuck shut. The front door was also stuck shut. The windows and the door concerned me because, in the event of a fire, there would only be one way out and that is through the kitchen.
Other than the windows and the door, the house is PERFECT for any family looking to get away. Iwould highly recommend this house to all who are looking for a great place to stay to have a perfect vacation. |

As a member of the local volunteer fire department I want to thank you for alerting us to the issue with the front door and windows. The home had all of it's window & door trim painted recently and the painters may not have "trimmed out" their work.
The front door has been freed and the windows are soon to be next. I wish to thank you again as we appreciate your being honest. It is our aim to make our properties as safe & enjoyable as possible because we know your vacations are precious and your comfort is key.
