We found Eagles nest on the net. We spoke to Jackson several times on the telephone and they were very helpful. The Cabin is awesome! The photos on the net depict the cabin just the way it is. No deception at all. The cabin sits on top of the hill and is somewhat isolated from other cabins offering nice privacy. The view is awesome from the back porch and hot tub. Views from the bedroom are great too! The cabin was very clean and comfortable. It does not take much to settle in and enjoy the place. Access to Gatlinburg is good as well as to various areas of the park. We were there more for the park than shopping or restaurants but there is plenty of opportunity to enjoy those things as well. We were fortunate to encounter a black bear on one of our hikes. He initially crossed our trail while hiking in Cosby about 30 yards ahead of us foraging for food and we got some great pictures. The traffic in October, especially on weekends, is bumper to bumper and slow. Traffic during the week does improve depending on what time of the day you travel. All in all, this was a great location and and cabin and we would highly recommend it to anyone who is adventerous or would like to just kick back for some quiet time.

We always stay with JMH. We had a great time. We have stayed at Falcon Crest before and decided to try one of the other homes in that little group. We like the area and ease of getting to and from those homes. However, the bathroom was very small and the shower was tiny for myself let alone my husband. I wish it was roomier. There was no place to put my shampoo or body wash. And the lighting in the living area was very sparse. I wish there would have been another lamp. Also, we could not figure out the tv. Couldn't find a local tv station for local news or weather. The home is well taken care of and very clean. We feel safe in the area also. Thanks for asking our opinion. We'll be back soon.
pin Manager Response: October 16, 2009
Thank you for your comments regarding the shower and the lighting. We will forward them on to the cabin owner. The satellite TV can be tricky and because the location of the cabin local channels are not available on the satellite programming.

We travel to Gatlinburg each year around August. After reviewing many cabins in the Gatlinburg area we found Jackson Mountain Homes. Having a large selection of cabins we chose Eagles Nest. The cabin was extremely nice, very clean, well maintained and semi-secluded. Staying in the Arts and Crafts Community was different than others we stayed, much more relaxing, plenty to do close by. Grocery and fast food not far off either. We did venture to town a few times, however most was spent looking thru the many shops in the Arts and Crafts area. We paln on staying at Eagles Nest again in the future, the only drawback is the new development close by, some of the seclusion is lost. Maybe more trees will bring the total seclusion back. Other than that downside, the cabin is well worth return visits.

The Eagles nest is a very neat, clean and charming place to stay. The secluded location is a real plus. We were a little skeptical about the overall experience at first. You know how good the internet add and brochures can make everything look and sound perfect? Well folks in this case you get exactly what the add sells. A well maintained secluded and romantic little cabin tucked away in the woods with about everything in it that you could think of needing. All of this at a reasonable price and within minutes of downtown Gatlinburg. You cannot go wrong with this on if you are looking for a liitle peace and relaxation.

This cabin is the cleanest cabin we have stayed in during our 26 years of renting cabins. It has a very comfortable bed and a well stocked kitchen for varied cooking needs. It is fairly secluded with no close neighbors. It is the last cabin on the dead end road leading to it. The cabin has great porches. One has a swing and the other a hot tub with a gorgeous view.

The lighting in the cabin could be better and the bathroom is quite cozy. These are minor issues that would not prevent me from returning. It is a great place to have a romantic vacation. The cabin is very well maintained and has a new feel to it. We will rent the same cabin again in the future.

We loved our trip to Gatlinburg. My husband is from TN and wanted me to see how it was out there.
The cabin was awesome and the view was better than we had expected. The first few nights were wonderful, peaceful and serene. The cabin was perfect for what we wanted. We enjoyed every aspect of living out in the woods in a cabin. All the ammenities we were promised were available and working. We spent nights on the porches just hanging out, but then the large cabin down the hill from the front door became occupied with loud rambunctious partiers which kept us locked up inside. I truly wish that the cabins were more secluded/seperated and I couldn't walk out front and see/hear inappropriate public displays from a bunch of drunk men.

FYI MANAGEMENT: Replace the worn out floor mats in this cabin (kitchen/front door), they are slippery and dangerous. This will cause someone to fall and get hurt.
pin Manager Response: July 18, 2009
Thank you for your comments. We are sorry you were inconvenienced by neighboring properties - typically those cabins are very quiet and the spacing between them more than adequate. We will pass along your comments regarding the floor mats along to the owner of the cabin. Thanks again.

We really like Eagles Nest. It is very private with a great view. The hot tub is in a great place and the inside whirl pool bath also has a great view. We really like the matress as well. The cabin was also clean with plenty of towels, linens and pillows.

Two minor problems, the tv is not much (however you really don't need it) and the grill has seen its better days (that is a little more of a problem).

The location is also awesome. We found some great gifts in the arts and crafts district. Also, you can go to Greenbrier and hike up to Ramsey Cascades. What a great time. It is 8 miles total, so plan on taking plenty of water and lunch, but it is great. It is just a couple miles down Hwy 321 away from town.
pin Manager Response: July 14, 2009
Thank you for your comments. We will forward the information regarding the TV and the Grill on to the cabin owner. Thanks again!

The cabin was even better than the pictures on-line. Very clean and comfortable. The view is fantastic and since it is the last cabin on the road, very quiet. It has everything you could possibly need and then some. Love the indoor and outdoor hot tubs. The only thing I would suggest is a better light in the livingroom and local news channels.

I would stay here again in the future!

Eagle's Nest is nestled in a secluded spot and yet is just about a mile off of Glades Rd. The mountain view was majestic, especially looking out the picture window from bed. The cabin was very cozy like most cabins in which we've stayed. The one thing we hate about most vacations, though, is returning home exhausted and with sore backs because of cheap beds and sofas. Not so this year! The bed and sofa made Eagle's Nest stand out for me. This is the only cabin we've found with a Tempurpedic bed, so don't reserve this cabin when we want it **smile** (we have a Tempurpedic at home and once you've had one, no other bed compares). Most hotel and cabin sofas I've sat on are low quality and have no lower back support. The sofa at Eagle's Nest is the quality I would choose when buying for our home. The owners' attention to quality in these areas is a testament to the overall quality of their cabins and the vacation experience they offer.

Stayed at another Jackson Mountain Homes property several years ago, and when we decided to get married in the Smokey Mountains, I immediately knew where to look for our cabin. We were not disappointed. Eagles Nest cabin was very clean, comfortable, and had many of the extras you expect, and even some you don't expect, for an effortless vacation away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Eagles Nest cabin is very well maintained and one can tell its owners take great pride in the property. Simply stated - there was nothing that needed to be changed or made better for our week in the mountains. The view from the private deck is spectacular and changes often as the weather and sunlight or moonlight change. We plan to again escape to the mountains someday soon, and we hope Eagles Nest will again be available - and if not, I'm certain we will try another of the many cabins offered by Jackson Mountain Homes.

This was our first trip to gatlinburg. After full days of driving, hiking and sightseeing, eagle's nest was a great place to come back to and relax in. The hot tub and jacuzzi tub were very relaxing and the fireplace was romantic, although a wood burning fireplace would have been better. The cabin was the last house on the street so there was no traffic at all to distract us.

We spent our 22nd wedding anniversary at Eagles Nest last May and
it was everything we needed it to be. The cabin was comfortable
and inviting. We appreciated being able to use the automated
fireplace complete with timer - other rentals will not permit
fireplace use this time of year. It was great for cool evenings or
mornings. A lot of our time was spent on the deck - having our
morning coffee, relaxing in the hot tub, enjoying the view and the
sights and sounds of the mountain. Supper time found us cooking
on the grill and eating at the picnic table. The jacuzzi in the
bedroom provided relaxation at the end of the day or a nice start in
the morning.

We found all the shopping we needed at the bottom of the
mountain, without going in to town, but there was trolley service to
downtown if you wanted to take in the view on the way.

The entire experience was perfect for getting away from all our
everyday stresses to relax, re-connect and celebrate our many
years together.

The staff at Jackson Mountain Homes are the best we've
experienced - they're professional, helpful and as friendly as can
be. At Eagles Nest we came, had a great time, and didn't have to do
the laundry before we left. This was a requirement in other cabins
we visited that were not a part of Jackson Mountain Homes.

One of the best parts was the small raccoon that visited one
evening and "posed" for pictures on the deck and gazed through
the window.

We can't wait to visit Eagles Nest again.

Also very peaceful and quiet most of the time. Any tme we stay in one of the Parrish's cabins we want to stay twice as long and come back soon. From the moment we arrived at the cabin it couldn't have been better. The property management group had excellent customer service and even allowed us to check in a couple of hours early since we were tired from the drive. We arrived to see the amazing view of changing fall foliage. During the stay it snowed up by the cabin and in the mountains, but the city never saw a flake. It was great to be able to have a taste of both seasons at one time. The bed seemed strange at first due to the mattress, but once you fell asleep it could have not been a better night's sleep. I have never vacationed outside of the tropics and was pleasantly surprised at what I was missing. The coziness of the cabin paired together with the hottub, fire place, and views led to one of the most intimate vacations a couple could take. I would stay here again with no hesitation and thank you for the memories.
