Beautiful Cabin |

| We spent a week there and had a wonderful time. Very good view and furnished well with dishes, cook-ware etc. We have been satisfied with all the cabins we have stayed in at JMH. It would have been nice if refrigerator had an ice-maker but we made it fine. We plan on another trip there next year. Thanks for everything. |

| When reserving Wandering Cubs the staff was GREAT. We were even forewarned steep curvy road and the turn into the driveway. :) We have been using JMH for years and will not use anyone else. Wandering Cubs has to be one of the most well appointed cabins that Jackson Mtn Homes has. There was nothing missing down to the smallest detail (like matches to light the grill) absolutely everything anyone would need. The only problem we had was short-lived..we couldn't get the wireless to work but then we found the router...hooked up our ethernet and were on our way. The view was "wanderful", the hot-tub just a delight. The driveway well now that was a challenge but we overcame it. All in all a relaxing wonderful vacation. |

| Our stay was absolutely amazing! The cabin was beautiful and the view from the hot tub was breathtaking. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. Although it rained the entire weekend we were there it added to the much needed relaxing experience. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed and more. The layout of identical king suites with jetted tubs worked out perfectly for the four of us. There's a TV in every room, bedrooms, living room, game room and something for everyone to do. As a result we decide to make this an annual trip and I can't wait to return. I would definitely recommend Jackson Mountain Homes to any and everyone and especially Wandering Cubs. The driveway to the cabin is a little tricky backing into but a small price to pay for such a great experience. What I loved most about the cabin was definitely the hot tub and view. Least would be the grill - it's very small and could use an upgrade. Overall the cabin is great and ideal for couples. |

| First of all, the staff at Jackson Home Rental were very nice. The cabin was awesome, very clean & cozy. The only downfall is the cabins driveway. If you have a big vehicle it is hard to get in. But other than that the cabin is very clean & has everything you need. The view of the mountains is beautiful. We also liked the location, your secluded from everyone but not far from town. |

I would give this cabin a favorable review. Most things were very positive. The view was great, as advertised. The bedrooms and bathrooms were a nice size, and the two masters worked well for us. The living room furniture was very comfortable and the dining furniture was good-sized. Even the loft futon (which we did not use) seemed comfortable, and the pool table and jacuzzi were nice. The cabin was clean.
The "shortcomings" may seem petty, but one of my gripes is that they would be so inexpensive to correct. The kitchen was not as nicely equipped
as the cabin would seem to deserve. There was no cheese grater, pasta strainer or whisk, for example. The pots and pans were mismatched and some were unusable. It took two days before I found the frying pans under the stove. The silverware was very cheap. Although "soap" was listed more than once on the list of amenities, there was only one load's worth of dishwashing and laundry detergent provided. The towels were kind of thin and not soft, like in a cheap hotel.
These shortcomings were obvious in day-to-day use, but could easily be remedied for $200 or $300. Then the cabin's guests would have nothing but pleasant thoughts and a relaxing time.

We stayed at Wandering Cubs for 4 nights June 13-16. We arrived after the Jackson Mountain Homes office had closed but got our packet with the map and key from the after hours area without a problem. We followed the map and crept up Ski Mountain. It's a slow winding road and a bit confusing at first. Our Garmin GPS was of no use. We arrived at Wandering Cubs and after a tight entry into the parking spot we went inside. It was just like the pictures we had seen online. There's a killer view with a large hot tub, two nice bedrooms with large king beds and their own bathroom. The upstairs has a nice futon, a bathroom, a pool table and playstation 2. TV's and DVD players in every room. Everything worked and with the exception of a couple dirty pans tucked back in a corner cupboard the place was very clean. Jackson Mountain called to check on us the next day and we didn't need anything from them the entire stay.
You get access to a swimming pool that is only a couple blocks away and very nice. Not many people there. It's about 10 minutes down to the bottom of the mountain where you could catch a trolley if you wanted to go into Gatlinburg.
We loved the cabin and would recommend it and would stay there again. |

Pros:
1. Terrific location-very, very close to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the bypass to the Park
2. Great cabin layout-roomy w/privacy for all--just as described
3. Loved the back porch w/its mt. view and hot tub
4. JMH provided outstanding service from reservation to check-in to fixing a minor problem promptly
5. We simply walked out when it was time to leave-no long check-out process
5. Super-comfy couches in the living area and cozy, comfy beds
6. Quiet-felt very private from other cabins
Cons: (pretty minor!)
1. Five-min. drive straight up the mt., followed by a sharp V turn into the steep driveway (but if I can do it, anyone can!)
2. The "DVD library" consists of only 6 titles, and one is Shirley Temple!
3. The "outdoor grill" was small and pretty battered--and why is it not on the back porch?
4. Cooking pots and pans were garage-sale quality-if you are really planning to "cook", you'll be disappointed
5. The bear decorating theme is a good idea carried too far...the ones outside are kind of creepy (although others apparently don't agree!)
All in all, highly recommended! |

The fire department does not allow charcoal grills on wood decks so it had to be placed out front, we are sorry that didn't meet your expectations. | This place is wonderful! My family and I loved the place. We went with another family and they loved it just as much! Everything was as described. We were close enough to shopping centers, places for the kids to have fun and etc... There was a nice view from the balcony. It was so peaceful sitting in the rocking chair or in the hot tub while listening to the birds and capturing a nice view of the clouds over the mountain tops! Don't just take my word - try it for yourself:) |

The wandering Cubs was everything and way more than the website described. Very spacious,very clean and one of the most peaceful places we have ever stayed!! The view was spectacular and I miss seeing it already!! We enjoyed our week there very much and will return there in the future!! We recommened it highly and someday I would like to own a place just like this one!! Nothing it needs and nothing I would change!! What a cabin!! See you again very soon Wandering Cubs!! The chalet was excellent. I'm not sure exactly what month it was , but we had a great time. We try to go to the mountains 2 or 3 times a year, And we normally use Chalet Village Properties, but they we're booked up so we tried Jackson Mountian, because I had remembered passing by a few of your rentals before, and had a feeling we would be happy with your properties. And we deffinetly were.
Hopefully we can return sometime in the future, because it was worth the trip.

| We really loved this place. Didn't feel to close to the neighbors and the view from the back deck was breathtaking. Great size and wonderfully decorated, made us feel like we were really in a cabin. The only thing we had a problem with was when we were using the oven and would open it up to check on the food inside it kept setting off the smoke detector. It was very VERY touchy. It went off about 8 times by the time we were finally done cooking dinner. Other then that the place was wonderful. Would highly recommend it. |

Very lovely home. An incredible view!!
The whirlpool tubes in each room were great.
And we were crazy about the hot tub on the rear deck .. really great to relax with that view. Remember to stop for groceries before you arrive. Try to eat at home as much as possible. Trust us on this one!! |

| We decided to get married in Gatlinburg TN and we fell in love with Wandering Cubs on line. We were able to bring our beloved pug Raider which was a huge priority for us. The view was the most amazing; even better than the pictures show. Everything about this cabin exceeded any expectation we may have had. The driveway was pretty tricky but once learned how to manuever it, it was okay. We plan to visit again there as soon as we can. It will always hold a special place in our hearts. Would recommend to anyone staying in Gatlinburg to check out Wandering Cubs. |

My wife and I and another couple stayed here. We injoyed our stay very much. Just a hint of the smell of smoke in the cabin, but a little air freshener took care of it. Otherwise our stay was wonderful. Watching the lite snow move across the valley from the back porch was spectacular.
This was our second stay in a Jackson Mtn. home and we have been pleased both times. |
