Had a great time at the house and loved that it was so close to the beach. The kitchen was well supplied with everything I needed to cook our meals. The house was also very, very clean! Overall, it was lovely, and I plan to rent from Dieter again (I'm hopeful the Blue Anchor will be available!).

We had rented a larger home for several years in the same area, but wanted to downsize a bit this year. We chose Blue Anchor from the website, based on the pictures we saw. In addition, we were also able to speak to people in 2008 who were staying there and they were satisfied. The house is tastefully decorated on the inside; it has wood laminate floors so it feels cleaner than a house with carpeting. There was a beautiful backyward with deck backing up against Huntingdon Beach Park. The area on the beach where we were daily was less crowded so made the beachtime more enjoyable. My only negative is that the house needs some TLC on the outside...the screens on the front porch were loose and ripped off on the edges and the sliding doors to the front porch didn't feel that secure when locked. We will rent again as we love Litchfield and are currently planning to return to Blue Anchor in 2010. The people at Dieter were friendly and helpful, as always.

We had a great vaction at the beach, one of the things I liked alot was not having to pay to get on the beach like I do in N.J. The house was in very good condition, we had a couple minor problems that were taken care very fast. The area is very nice and the beach is great,I would recommend the Dieter Co. and the location without hesitation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Blue Anchor. The North Litchfield location is perfect and quiet--the house backs up to Huntington Beach State Park. From the end of the driveway, it's an easy half-block stroll to direct beach access over the dunes walkway. The beach in front of Huntington State Park is wide and spacious--not too crowded at all, and the residential/non-commercial nature of North Litchfield makes for a pleasant place to walk or ride bicycles. The accommodations are comfortable and pleasant. The layout is perfect for individuals, families, or couples. There is a wonderful den/sunroom/dining room at the back of the house and great covered parking and storage (with laundry) beneath. I would definitely rent this home again. More...
