The people and the atmosphere on Tybee Island made our very short
stay there memorable It is just what we were looking for as a
vacation spot Canty's Cottage was more than we hoped for We will
certainly return for our next vacation later this summer

Right from the start our Mermaid Cottage experience was delightful. We chose Savannah as the location for our honeymoon but we wanted to stay by the beach. After many phone calls to other places we spoke to Diane Kaufman of Mermaid Vacation Rentals. We told her what we were looking for and she gave us a few suggestions. We chose Canty's cottage and loved it. It is complete: full kitchen, washer/dryer, beach chairs, bicycles. It is spotless and cozy. Diane stopped by to check in and gave us some great ideas of what to do and see and where to eat. She is a great ambassador for Tybee Island. We will be back. More...

As usual, Mermaid Cottages took very good care of all details. Canty's Cottage is all we needed as a couple with our two dogs. It has a nice fenced yard, great sunsets, and lots of daytime sun. Since it was cool this year, we spent much time on the patio/porch area reading and relaxing. It is very clean and the owner lives on the island if you have any questions. The cottage was great, very clean and roomy for the five of us. Only has one
bath but two showers. The place is not very fancy but it had everything needed
for a nice weekend. The staff called several times to ensure we were
comfortable, The location is very good, about five blocks to the beach but not
close to main streets and noise. A beach wagon would have been very helpful.
We would definitely stay there again

Canty's Cottage was absolutely wonderful. I went with my best friend of 40 years for a "Girls' Getaway", and Canty's Cottage was perfect! As soon as we pulled up to the cottage, we were immediately happy!

The cottage is welcoming and homey. It was stocked by former tenants with what we called "little love offerings." Things like: spices and seasonings in the pantry, wine, toiletries, books, DVDs, etc. We left a bottle of wine, other spices, and candles too.

We were especially grateful for the assistance of Mermaid Cottages' computer and tech guru, Michael. He was SO helpful and went above-and-beyond the call of duty to help us solve a problem we were having with Wi-Fi. He helped us with the DVD player and gave us suggestions about restaurants and other business on Tybee Island.

Canty's Cottage is a SPECIAL place! I'm planning on going back.

P.S. Mermaid Cottages is the best organization to work with. Diane Kaufman was so friendly and accommodating. This was a WONDERFUL experience.
