908 2nd Ave Tybee Island GA 31328. Newly restored and freshly decorated Jane Coslick Cottage. Classic 1950's Ground level cottage, three bedrooms/ 2 full bathrooms. Bedroom 1: 1 Queen, Bedroom 2: 1 Queen Bed 3: 1 queen bed. Sun room includes a double futon which can be used for naps or sleeping.. Pet Friendly, however dogs are limited to 2 and must be under 25 lbs each. Picket fenced in front yard, private patios on both sides of the cottage. 2 blocks to the beach, pet friendly, complimentary high speed internet and wifi. Complimentary Long distance phone calls! Outdoor Shower with hot and cold water. Extremely bright and cheerful cottage!

Casual and happy little cottage |

| We had a good time staying here over the Labor Day weekend (myself and two friends). The cottage is really cute and the owners have obviously had a good time decorating it with kitchy little items and bright colors. The kitchen is well-equipped and has pretty much everything you could need. The beds were pretty comfortable but I was told that the mattress in the back bedroom was too soft for my friend's taste. The location is great...just three blocks back from the ocean. Bring your own beach chairs unless you plan to rent them. We brought ours. The only things I would recommend to the owners is better light in the bedrooms... they are very dark for getting dressed, etc. and I would definitely do something with the car port area or back yard. There's really no pretty out door area to sit and lounge. The carport has seating and a table but I thought it was kind of dirty and you are in a carport vs. outside. We would maybe stay again, but I'd rather stay in a cottage that had a better deck or outdoor area. The mermaid people were nice and professional. |

| This was our first trip to Tybee. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit even though it rained almost every day. The cottage was very well furnished and well maintained. The out door shower was great for getting the beach sand off our little one. We are looking forward to visiting Tybee again. |

Laid back, sunny slice of heaven! |

We recently spent a long weekend on Tybee Island. The Castaway cottage
was the perfect place for us. We loved the pictures online and the place was
even better in person. Everything was so comfortable. We just felt like we
could stay there forever. The neighbors were all so friendly too...waving as
they rode by on bikes or saying hello from their front porches. Castaway
was the perfect distance from the beach. Just a couple of blocks made for a
good walk to and front the beach. It was easy to go back and forth
throughout the day. The whole island is so laid back! No one was in a hurry
to go anywhere or do anything...no one seemed to have a care in the world
and the feeling was very contagious!
The service we received from the staff at Mermaid cottages was very
professional and efficient. Everything was just as promised.
I would recommend the Castaway cottage to anyone. I didn't have a
complaint about the place at all!

| I was very happy with the cottage and the staff that handled the rental. The cottage was adorable. It was clean and had the things we needed. It was in great location not far from beach. I loved the island. I will be back and use mermaid cottage again. Very satisfied. The only thing i would have liked is somewhere to hang wet clothing outside so we could have kept it neat looking and not had clothes everywhere drying. That was only a minor problem. We loved it. |

We had a great time on Tybee! The weather was not at all hospitable, however
the Castaway was fab-u-lous! It gave us protection from the rain, cold and
gale force winds! With it's beach-themed interiors and happy colors, we never
noticed the horrible weather. A beacon in the storm!
I recommend this cottage to anyone who is in the market to get away from it
all. Short drive to Savannah, Bonaventure and an even shorter drive to the
beach. Make sure you take your debit/credit card to pay for the parking at the
beach.
I am planning on coming back next year and hope to stay at the Castaway
again! |

This was a getaway weekend with a friend and our 2 teenagers.....May sound crazy but we had a blast. The home was beautifully decorated while allowing us to feel like it was our own beach house.

| Stayed at the Castaway for 6 nites in March. It was clean and inviting. Great island decor. Quiet location--close to YMCA, store, and beach. Tybee is a great place to get away from it all. If your looking for a nice home with room for everyone The Castaway could work for you. The only thing we were missing was a toaster but we made do. Nice to have a w/d to do laundry. Would stay here again for sure. Thanks to Mermaid Cottages-we really enjoyed our stay. |

| My husband and I would truly rent this property again next year if it's available. We came here to get away from the wind and cold in Delaware for a week in February. It was in the 70's and sunny in Tybee and this cottage is adorable, sunny, very clean and very comfortable. I came home to DE feeling refreshed w/some deorating inspiration from the Castaway Cottage. |

| I wanted to do something special for my family since I was going to be visiting over the holidays. My family lives in Georgia and I live in Illinois. I found Mermaid Cottages and fell in love with the pictures of the cottages on line. My family had never thought of renting a cottage, but decided to give my suggestion a try. Well, needless to say it was a huge hit and success. We were able to go to the beach during the day (found lots of sand dollars) and took a Savannah Ghost Tour that night and then came back to Tybee and watched the New Year's Eve fireworks from the Pier at midnight. It was cold and windy the next day, but it didn't bother us we had a wonderful time. I would recommend this property to anyone. I plan on coming back. |

Our family meets every year at Tybee Island and we always stay at a Mermaid Cottage property. This year, we switched to the Castaway, and it was our best experience yet.
Beautifully decorated, spacious, and immaculate - the Castaway has everything to make your stay memorable and enjoyable.
Try the pizza at Cousin Vinny's and head over to AJ's Dockside for great seafood.
We'll be there next year for another fantastic time at the Castaway. |

We travelled from all over the east coast to meet a Tybee Island's Castaway Cottage and had a blast! Castaway Cottage is soo cute and had tons of amenities. Be sure to rent a bike for the weekend with a basket, enjoy observing the sea turtles and their nests, ride out to the light house at the tip of the Island, and definetly eat a the Crab Shack where you will dine with the gators and the cats!

| After a summer of health concerns, worrying and just overall tiredness, we found Castaway and Diane at Mermaid Cottages a breath of fresh air! Everything was so easy, from booking to entering the front door of the brightly colored cottage. It was PERFECT for our family and we will be returning to Castaway for future visits. Just 2 blocks from the beach we couldn't have asked for a better location, especially since we were carrying around a 2 year old's beach toys! The Castaway was bright, cheery, and spacious and fully stocked with anything you could need. Thank you Diane and Castaway for a little piece of heaven this summer! |

| We really enjoyed our stay at the Castaway Cottage in Tybee Island. It was our first time visiting and our first time to rent a cottage. Jane Coslick did an amazing job of decorating. It was even better than the pictures! It was so warm and inviting. The beds were new and comfortable. Everything was very clean and neat. It was a short walk to the beach. We were happy to see that we were on the "quiet" side of the main street. The evenings were so quiet and relaxing in The Castaway neighborhood. I would highly recommend Mermaid Cottages as everyone was delight to work with there! We can't wait to go back to Tybee Island and we hope the Castaway is available again! |

Great Family Vacation |

My family and I went to Tybee for our summer
vacation. We just adopted a dog 6 months ago and wanted some place we could take him too.
Mermaid Cottages was perfect. We were only 2 blocks away from the beach and we were able to walk or ride bikes we rented to the beach or pier area. The kids loved it and my husband and I haven't been on bikes in 20 years!!!! We all had a blast. We are looking forward to our next trip to Tybee and definitely want to stay at Mermaid cottages again. Everyone on the Island and in Savannah were very hospitable and friendly.

We came to Tybee after many trips to Savannah to visit our son,
(student at SCAD) This time we decided to make a real r and r out of
it and stay at the beach. We loved it...From the cleanliness, to the
charming decor (not "cutesy") and the comfort, we were just so
relaxed..Our other son and his wife (USAF) were just back from a
harrowing mission to Iraq, and he so needed this oasis. We all had a
great time and will come back again and again. Well done Jane and
staff!!! We also found the info. left in the cottage to be helpful since
we were new to Tybee. We can't think of something that wasn't
taken care of by you all. Just a pleasant trip for us, and I must add
on the day we left for home, we were all DEPRESSED!!! Next time
we'll stay longer.
For anyone wondering, it was just perfect, not overdone, with all of
the comforts of home. Thanks for a wonderful few days...

| My wife and I wanted to stay on the beach but be close to Savannah. Tybee is the place. We brought our bulldog and he loved it too. The cottage is within walking distance of tons of restaurants and shops. The cottage is clean and comfortable. We'd stay there again for sure! |
