This is the second time I stayed at the Key Lime Parrot and as before I found this rental to be perfect! Everything is provided for and the home itself is a vacation. We had six people in our party and we all had plenty of room and felt relaxed and comfortable in this tropical house. As always Mermaid Cottages were efficient, polite and helpful. We will be back! The Key Lime Parrott was adorable and perfect our group. It was easy to locate and very clean. I love the fact that we were able to go straight to the house without the hassle of checking-in. We were forced to change our weekend but the staff at Mermaid Cottage Rentals were very nice and accomodating. The house was close to the beach and in a quiet area that was wonderful for destressing which was the point of our trip. The only complaint I have is that we didn't stay long enough. We enjoyed the stay and there was enough room for everyone. When we arrive the keys were in the lock box and we went right in to the collage. The party to stay were Me, my wife, my son and his wife and 2 year old daughter. Well, if you need to know my special granddaughter. The only concern about the cottage was the smell when arrived. The smell was strong and smelled like dead fish, but after we opened the doors and let it air out everything seem to be ok. The home was large enough for us all and much better than a hotel. We were able to cook in the house and outside on the grill, althought I would rather had have a gas grill. We did go to several of the local restaurant and eat. A must place is the Crab Shack. My Grandaughter, (my only grandchild) loved the beach. We went everyday. The walk was only three blocks but carring the stuff was a bit much. We drove and parked and paid, and I do me paid, everywere on the Island you must pay to park. The beach closer to the downtown area, closer to the peer is much better for small children than across the street from the cottage. The waves are not as large and in the afternoon there are pools of water small children can play in.
I do have a request for the grounds keeper of the cottage (Key Lime Parrot) the grass needed to be cut and the vines over the outside shower need to be trimmed. When your 6'1 and my son 6'3 go into the outside shower it felt like I was in one of those science fiction movies as the plants were taking over and about to wrap around me and be come one with the plant.
Mermaid Cottages Vacation Rentals service stated in touch with me and each question my email was answered on a timely basic. We will return to Tybee Island on a future date and rent one of the Mermaid cottages on the Island. There are many more things to do on the Island, that we did not do because of my daughter-in-law was pregnant with second child and walking became a issue so we relaxed in the cottage.

The staff of Mermaid Cottages were very friendly and the Key Lime Parrot was really cute, comfortable and clean. Our walk to the beach was surprisingly short and easy. Lots of great resturants on Tybee - the Crab Shack was very entertainig for the kids! We really enjoyed fishing, swimming and Capt. Mike's Dolphin Tour.
We look forward to coming back to Tybee for our family vaction.

We could not have had a better vacation on Tybee Island last month. We had never been there before and happened upon the Mermaid Cottages online. We LOVED everything about the Key Lime Parrot! The girls loved being across the street from the great park and just being a very short walk from the beach. It was great to be able to go straight to the house when we drove on the island and not have to waste time going and checking in and getting a key and then going to the house! I'm ready to go back for 2 weeks next time!
