| I can't begin to say enough about the excellent service we received. We were a last minute vendor for the pirate festival and decided to bring the family with us. The ladies were very considerate and allowed us to check in early. They checked on us multiple times while at the festival, and when we were having difficulty getting the kids out of the house, vehicles packed, they were very understanding. I would highly recommend renting from them and we will definitely be back! |

| Sea Largo is the perfect beach cottage. The home is very spacious, plenty of room for everyone to have space. The bed in the master is so comfy and large. The living room with 2 sofas made relaxing a treat! We spent most of our time in the screened porch watching our dogs run in the yard and bike riders and walkers go by. Don't forget to plug in the lights before you leave for the night. They light up the whole place. The location of Sea Largo is ideal. Walking distance to the IGA for groceries, 2 blocks to the 12th street beach access, and a few blocks walk to the pier. The cottage could use a little TLC. I agree with previous comments that the deck could use a power wash in a bad way. That would make the home even more beautiful. The interior was just too cute for words. Beautifully decorated. Books and games on hand and everything in the kitchen you could want. Mermaid Cottages, as always, were great. Tim from Tims Beach Gear came to deliver the bikes we rented from him and while he was there he fixed the flat tire on the beach cart and fixed one of the bikes at the cottage so we could use it too. He is a great guy!! Thanks Diane and staff for a great weekend. We will probably rent Sea Largo next year!! |

My family rented the house "Sea Largo" in July 2009. The weather was beautiful, the house was perfect, and the beach was heavenly. The house was very clean and had every amenity that you could conceive of (and some I would have not thought of myself!), including spices for the kitchen and ziplock bags! There were bikes in the shed, two person hammock, and chalk for my son to draw in the driveway. We were only a short and relaxing walk from the beach, which we visited often. I can honestly say that we lacked for nothing! We were even brought a sandbucket full of cookies - which was an added personal touch that was greatly appreciated. We will certainly stay here again! I am officially a fan of Mermaid Cottages! Thank you for our lovely stay!

The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed for our week at the beach. It was espicially nice to find spices, sweetener, coffee and tea bags and a few of the other supplies stocked in the kitchen. The cart and other beach items were also nice to have.
Being a pet friendly rental, it was nice to find dog treat and an inside and outside set of pet dishes.
The location was perfect. Being 2 streets back from the main road made it quiet, but still within an easy walk of the beach. Bicycles got us to restaraunts and the shops.
The house itself was charming and basically clean, but the details are being missed. While bathroom and kitchen fixtures were very clean, corners and baseboards don't appear to be on the cleaning service to do list.
During out stay, we reported that the roof was leaking. This did not cause a problem for us and was attended to promptly. The service person who was sent out was very polite and even cleaned our truck of debris that landed there during their work. After noticing the leak, it became apparant that this was not the first time as mold was visible on the ceiling in a couple of places.
This is a delightful cottage for a family and their pet to vacation in. I hope that in the future a better effort will be made in the maintenance and cleaning service in order to keep it a nice place. |

My husband and I enjoyed our recent stay at Sea Largo. It was perfect for our chocolate Labs. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch, it gave us a chance to hang out with the dogs and not have to worry about them wandering off. We live in metro Atlanta where the traffic is horrible. It was great to park the car and walk to the beach. Also the neighbors were friendly. I can't wait to visit again!
My only complaint was the beach buggy was unusable due to flat tires and no gas in the gas grill tank.
Diane/Mermaid Cottages was very helpful and the reservation experience was no hassle. Appreciate the follow up emails! |

No need to ask for anything Everything was ready. Short, interesting, walk to the beach. Then a short beach walk to the pier and center. Or,the bicycles were fun to get around. Sea Largo was a lovely little cottage--bright and cheerful, clean and
tidy. We loved sitting out in the screened porch at night and
enjoyed the close proximity to the beach, which was just a short 5-
minute walk.
Everything we needed was right at our fingertips: dishes, towels,
linens, a beach cart. We really needed to bring nothing but
ourselves for this trip.
Initially we had chosen Sea Largo for it's friendly policy towards
pets; however, we realized that our dogs might not do so well
during the lengthy car trip down and decided against taking them.
We so loved Sea Largo that we were determined to rent it anyway.
Honestly, when we arrived we would have never known pets had
ever been there, as there was not of trace of pet hair or odor in the
whole cottage... it was that clean!
We are sure to choose Sea Largo again for our next trip to Tybee.

We had a nice time staying on Tybee. The staff of Mermaid was very
helpful and friendly. This cottage is convenient to everything. We
rented bikes to tour the island, but we could practically walk
everywhere anyway. We were only blocks from either the marsh for
sunset views or the beach. The cottage has a great screen porch for
reading, and a deck and hammock for relaxing. The shade tree over
the deck is the best thing about the place! We'd definitely rent from
Mermaid again when we return to Tybee. |

We don't want you to be jealous, but we spent a whole MONTH on
Tybee in this wonderful cottage. It was clean, comfortable and very
homey. Our dog loved the yard and all the great places to walk.
For February, it was a bit unseasonably cold, but better than what it
was in Canada, for sure! We still walked the beaches a lot and had
some wonderful sunny days that we biked and walked. We sat in the
front yard early in the morning, but there is not a lot of sun in the
yard past noon, so it was not a place to sit later in the day.
(although we are sure that in the warmer months, the shade would
be very welcome).
The cottage is well-situated; you can walk just about anywhere. We
spent many days cooking there, and the kitchen set-up is great as
well.
We enjoyed everything! |

It was a last minute retreat and we wanted to be at the beach. We also wanted our own private place and the ability to bring our two dogs along.
The cottage was wonderfully comfortable. We spent so much time on that porch watching the dogs chase each other in circles around the house. They thought it was the best place ever. We parked the car for four days and very rarely moved it. We walked or bicycled to everything and we were very conviently located for it. Groceries, restaurants, beach, shopping were all just a stroll away.
I can speak only for the king sized bed: it was great. Kitchen was just right and well stocked with a huge variety of beverage glasses (I think someone likes margaritas and martinis!). The living room and side deck were also very roomy and comfortable.
We had such a good time relaxing that we decided to extend our stay by one day.
We'll be back for certain.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sea Largo. It had almost everything you would want when staying at a place that isn't your own home. The master bedroom king sized bed was extremely comfortable (we may actually buy the same mattress for our house!). The house would be perfect for a single family or multiple families because there is ample space for everyone. We grilled out multiple times and loved that we didn't have to go out to eat all the time since we had a full kitchen. It was as close to being at home as we could have asked for.
The walk to the beach was very convenient and the provided cart was very handy to get all of our chairs/etc there and back.
There were a few bugs, but nothing that couldn't be expected at the beach.
Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and the management was very easy to work with. We will definitely consider renting with them again when we come back to Savannah. |

Our dogs had a great time romping around in the front yard - it was so great to find a very nice, comfortable, clean pet friendly home with all of the amenities that we needed. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the beautiful screened in porch which was great! The beach is so close and easy to get to - and the location of the house is right around the corner from the store which was great, too! The only thing we noticed was that the bugs were fairly plentiful inside the cottage - but we know that is fairly hard to control at the beach! The bed was SUPER comfortable, great closet space, great kitchen with everything we needed, and the grill was great too (we might recommend cleaning it prior to each visit though as we had a small minor fire in the drip pan when we first started as it had not been cleaned out in a long time and had debris in there). It was an AMAZING vacation - Diane Kaufman was absolutely great as our vacation rental tenant - she told us all of the best places to go and what to do! We loved her!
