The Shrimp is quintessential Tybee!
My husband and I loved, loved, loved this cottage!
Pros: Shabby chic beach decor was wonderful

Too many extra little touches to mention
The screened in back porch during a rain shower (imagine lying in the
hammock, listening to the rain falling on the metal roof)
WiFi access (included in rental fee)
Privacy
Comfortable beds and high quality linens
Cons: The cottage is small---definitely spacious for 2 and plenty of room
for 4, but I wouldn't want to rent for 6 people.
Storage space is limited

We loved Tybee Island
We totally enjoyed our visit to Tybee Island. However, I would have to rate our cottage - The Shrimp as average. While the home was nice enough and in an excellent location, I did not think it was clean enough. If I pay that much money for a cleaning fee then I expect it to me clean. I also thought it was overpriced. We still had a wonderful time at Tybee!!

Thank you for your feedback, we work very hard to keep our cottages the cleanest on the island and our housekeepers the best trained and dedicated. We have talked to the housekeeper who cleans The Shrimp and pointed out some areas that she needs to focus on for future cleaning jobs. We appreciate the feedback from our guests but also want to remind everyone- if there is a problem while you are here on the island - we will come over immeidately and slow whatever problem there is, including re cleaning the home if necessary. Every home as our Guest Services contact info right on the refrig and we are truly available 24/7 to handle anything needed.
Regarding the home being over priced- where else can you find a place that sleeps 6 people with two bathrooms, a full kitchen , free wifi and cable, a yard and garden for $160 a night..... Even with the cost of housekeeping, this is still a vaulue anywhere. The lease expensive hotel room on Tybee during this time of the year is over $120 for one bedroom. Vacation rentals are truly a great value for a family, girls weekend or even couple get away.
Awesome Girls Weekend!!
We stayed at The Shrimp for Girls weekend this summer and it was a huge hit! We especially loved hanging out in the screened in porch. We loved it and would definitely stay there again!
