| The house was wonderful. Just the right size for us. The only downfall was the cleanliness. There was a dirty diaper in a trash can upstairs that gave pause to how well the cottage was cleaned. There also was a dirty ashtray with a cigarette in it on the back porch. The pool was absolutely filthy and the water was cloudy. I don't think anyone came to clean it the entire week we were there. And there was toys clogging the filter when we got there. That was the down side. The up side......We LOVED Tybee! We were within walking distance of the beach and the wagons provided help for carrying all the beach stuff. The house was decorated beautifully. The color scheme was very relaxing and reminded us of the beautiful island we were on. Even when it rained, we were able to set outside on the porch and visit. I would absolutely love to return someday. We were pleased with the kitchen being fully stocked and took advantage of the grill in the backyard too. Overall the good stuff made us forget all about the bad. Thanks for letting us stay there. |

| We wanted to vacation with family in a place that was convenient, comfortable and kid friendly. This home gave all 8 of us, (4 adults and 4 preteens) plenty of space to relax or play games. I loved the fact that it had a big dining room table to share with everyone. Also, the screened in porches were fabulous! The outdoor shower was wonderful after a dip in the pool or a swim at the beach. We would definitely stay in this property again. |

| This rental property was exactly as good as it sounded in the description. It was extremely clean, well maintained and included every convenience that anyone should desire. We shared this rental with another couple and felt like the general layout (including batrooms) afforded te privacy similar to having two seperate units. I would certainly recommend it to anyone else. |

| This house was very well cared for by the owners. However, the company that rents out these houses needs some work. I will not go into all the details, but I would steer clear of this organization. |

| Our reason for visiting Tybee was to celebrate the birthday of a dearly departed relative who two years prior had lost her battle with cancer, was cremated and buried at sea. December 24th would have been her 42nd birthday and we wanted to be at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean to write messages to her in the sand, yell wishes to her over the waves and sing her happy birthday. Our stay in the house was as spiritual as the reason for our trip. We had no way of knowing how stunning this home would be. Diane's generosity at giving us this unbelievable house so very close to the beach really made our stay extra special. Under the Tybee Sun was like a big easy chair you slip into after a hard day. Like a mother's hug, it held us lovingly as we cooked delicious meals, played games and remembered our friend, sister, daughter, twin whom we had come there to honor. We could not have asked for more and are determined to go back to that very house next year. |

| If you every visit Tybee island please stay at The Mermaid Cottages. I have traveled alot and stayed in many cottages, etc. This by far was the best. The house is gorgeous and if you can't find what you need for the kitchen you don't need it. They have it all. It was clean, and beautiful. Diane is incredible, she helped us with everything we needed. All the people in Tybee are warm, friendly, and helpful. God willing I WILL be back! The pool was clean, the furniture was great, the bed were comfy. Best vacation ever! |

| We were married that weekend and had rented this one and 'A Mermaids Tale' (right across the street) for our families. Thank you to the beautiful homes (we also got to peek in 'Nora's Cottage' next door and it was just as nice) and to the wonderful staff of Mermaid Cottages for making it a very memorable weekend. We have stayed at Tybee before but will use Mermaid from now on and we are already planning a trip with a sister and her husband and hope to be able to rent one of the two homes we were in. THANK YOU MERMAID COTTAGES!! |

THIS COTTAGE WAS VERY WELL EQUIPPED AND DECORATED - ESPECIALLY THE FIRST FLOOR BATHROOMS. IT HAD A HOMEY FEEL AND THE LARGE ROOMS, SCREENED-IN PORCHES, POOL, BEACH SUPPLIES, ETC. MADE OUR STAY EVEN MORE ENJOYABLE. IT IS LOCATED IN A VERY QUIET RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD AND WAS ONLY 2 BLOCKS TO THE BEACH. THE SECOND FLOOR BEDROOMS AND BATH GAVE BOTH OF OUR FAMILIES OUR "OWN" SPACE. OUR STAY WAS VERY ENJOYABLE - THE WEATHER WAS GREAT, THE HOME WAS "HGTV" DECORATED, A PRIVATE POOL PLUS THE OCEAN AND BEACH. WE COULDN'T HAVE ASKED FOR MORE! THIS WAS OUR FIRST TRIP TO TYBEE AND WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK. A SPECIAL THANKS TO DIANE AND THE STAFF AT MERMAID COTTAGES FOR THEIR HELP!

We Had a Great Stay |

| The cottage was very homey and nicely decorated – straight out of HGTV! The location was great because it was 1 ½ blocks to the beach, a short drive to the restaurants and shops but tucked away in a quiet, residential neighborhood. We enjoyed everything – the large size of the dining room and kitchen, the screened-in porches w/ceiling fans, the brightly painted master bedroom and bath (the first floor bathroom vanities and sinks are beautiful). The second floor was ideal for our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. The upstairs bedrooms had very nice linens, televisions along with the full bath, was self-contained. This helped give each family their “own spaceâ€. We used the pool everyday and this made the vacation ideal – THE OCEAN/BEACH AND A POOL! The backyard landscaping, outside furniture and beach gear were appreciated “extrasâ€. This cottage is the nicest place that we have rented in several years (the other being a house in Jamaica). It is very visually pleasing and well appointed. Thank you very much for sharing your home with us. Also, a special thanks to Diane and the staff at Mermaid Cottages who were very helpful and friendly. This was our first trip to Tybee. We had ideal weather, a great memory-filled visit with our family and we definitely will be back! |

| Under The Tybee Sun is a lovely, tastefully-furnished and extremely well-appointed beach home. Its location mid-island makes it convenient to everything without being in the middle of the tourist hubub. The neighborhood is quiet, making the house a peaceful retreat. While the home is not located directly on the beach, it is only a very short walk to the nearest beach access. Unlike many homes on Tybee, there is plenty of parking, which can be very important in a larger home. There were ten of us staying in the home, ranging in ages from ten months to seventy years, and we were all quite comfortable at all times. The staff of Mermaid Cottages was excellent and responded to all our requests in a very timely manner. I have already told many friends and family about this beach home, and if I ever return to stay at Tybee Island I will definitely contact Mermaid Cottages. |

We rented this cottage during our recent girls only family vacation. The cottage suited all tastes, from teenager to senior citizen. It's located close to the beach as well as being only a short drive from Savannah. Very cozy and relaxing atmosphere.
We would definitely rent this unit again when we return to the area! |

| This cottage was very nice and relaxing. It is only a block and half from the ocean so easily within walking distance. It is only a short 20 minute drive to downtown Savannah, GA where you can enjoy the history and beauty of the deep south. The pool was a little smaller than expected, but was big enough to cool off and relax. |

Loved the house!! It was a great location and super close to the beach. We had a group of friends and it was perfect for a relaxing long weekend. We did cook one night and had all the kitchen items we needed. The rooms were all clean and eveything looked well cared for. The outdoor shower, dipping pool and screen in porch were an added bonus.
Perfect house for a low key weekend with friend or familes. We would come back!!! |

| We rented "Under the Tybee Sun" with a group of friends when we came down to Tybee for the annual Tybee Island Marathon. We came down with a group of 6 adults and 3 kids and the stay was excellent. Diane made sure everything was perfect for us and that we enjoyed our stay. For runners, the location was perfect, allowing our group to see us run the marathon 8-9 times with walking 3-4 blocks at the most. The house is right on the course, so it was great for spectators as well as for dropping and picking up items needed during the run. When we go back, this will be the place we stay. It was also within 3 blocks of the expo, start and finish areas. |

| We spent a lovely March week at Under a Tybee Sun and had a great time. You never really know what you are going to find when you rent something you have never seen in person, but we could not have been more pleased. There were 6 of us (3 adults, 3 children and 1 dog!) and we had plenty of space. It is close to many of our kids' favorite activities: easy walk to playground, library and dog park. We took long walks every night looking at the fun, funky beach houses! The street was quiet and the people in the surrounding homes were very friendly. The walk to the beach is short, though it requires crossing a very busy street (watch little ones!). The home came with several games and has a huge table perfect for late night card playing! It was too cold to really enjoy the pool, but it looks lovely and the back porch is a great place to read into the night. The backyard is small but the street is quiet enough to kick a ball around for fun. The kitchen is well stocked, sunny and perfect for feeding a crowd. The steps going upstairs are a little steep, but the kids loved having their own space so it was fine for us. The house is centrally located to most anything you would need to do. We had a great time and will definately be back! |

| We spent a glorious March week on Tybee and could not have been in a better house! You never really know what you are going to get when you choose something you've never seen before, but we could not have been happier. There were 6 of us (3 adults, 3 children and 1 dog!) and it was perfect for our family. Other houses we looked at were nice in pictures, but when we got to the island we found some of them located on busy streets. The kids loved walking everywhere and it was close to many of their favorite activities: short walk to the beach (though it does require crossing quite a busy street, so watch little ones carefully!), very close to the library and large playground and the dog park is right down the street. I know that it wasn't as busy when we went as the crowds you find in the summer, but when we were there, the street was quiet and the kids threw tennis balls in the street, played with the dog and we didn't worry about traffic in front of the house. The houses close by were very quiet and the people were very friendly. It was too cold to really enjoy the pool, but it looks lovely and the porch on the back of the house is a very peaceful place at night. The home came with some nice games and a huge table where we played lots of cards. The home is tastefully decorated but it is family friendly and it feels like you are borrowing a close friends house. We could not have had a better time or a better house for our family. We will definately stay again! |

| Under the Tybee Sun was the perfect launching pad for our Savannah/Tybee vacation. Decent sized kitchen, screened front and back porches, air conditioning and small backyard swimming pool were all comodities. The house is located about 3 blocks from the public beach, which saves money on parking. An included grill is a nice amenity as well. We loved our stay here and would do it again in a heartbeat. |

| This is the perfect house. Great location, quiet neighborhood. Inside is beautiful, more than I expected! Never disappointed when we stay with Mermaid Cottages. The staff is always helpful no matter what time of day or what day, even on the weekends. We always use Mermaid, we always will until we buy our dream home on Tybee. We already have our next trip planned with them. |

| we enjoyed our stay at under the tybee sun. the price was on the top end of what we were willing to spend, but the location was very good and we had everything we needed. the only issue we had with this house was that we saw about 5 roaches/bugs crawling on the floor. other than that, everything was definitely acceptable to very nice. just as a suggestion, i would include high definition cable service with a high definition tv. i think it would add just a little more appeal, but definitely not something that is a must by any means. overall, we were very happy with the rental. you guys made yourselves very accessible for any questions, which is very vital to people who are not acclimated with the area. if it was not for the roach/bug situation, i would say the rental side of our stay was near perfect. the weather just did not cooperate the way we wanted. we will be back at some point and will still consider this property again. |
