House worked out very well for us. Upstairs bedroom was a little on the small size with very low ceilings...beware! :) But we were traveling with a toddler who slept in a pack n play which we put up there and worked out great!
For those traveling with small children...the house even has some baby gates available for your use in addition to some toys - Brio train, blocks, beach ball, frisbee, etc. |

FYI Folks... the small bedroom with low ceilings this reviewer speaks of will be no longer after this fall. The owner's of the chalet are literally raising the roof with a sizable addition which will turn the property into a much more sizable 3 bedroom, 2 bath plus family den. Work is to be completed by December 21st, 2009 so anyone reserving for Christmas week and there after can expect a much larger and improved home... and it is AS CLOSE to Cannon Mountain Ski Area and Franconia Notch State Park as you can get.

| Klebenov chalet had a great living room and modern kitchen area and was very comfortable. It's very close to the public beach, and bike trail for the lovely Franconia Notch State Park. The house is quite close to the parking area for the resort, so the view isn't great but great views are within strolling distance. Loved that it's right up on the mountain! |

We liked the closeness to the Franconia Notch, the upgrades to the kitchen, furnishings and carpetings were good. Could use towel holders in the "master" bathroom.
The biggest problem was the smell from the wet basement. We tried to keep the windows opened as much as we could, put the fans on to air it out but it did not help much. Maybe if there was at least a door on the basement it would keep the smell down. The rainy weather did not help, might be better in the winter. |

Thank you for making us aware of the concerning issue with the basement and yes, Summer 2009 certainly has been a rainy and wetter than normal summer season. We can assure we will work with the owners' to develop a cure for the basement. During the past 3 years or so this property has been on a continual process of upgrading with the next, large and last round scheduled for the fall of 2009. During this time a solution to the damp basement will be found thus curing the issue of the odor that you mentioned.

| This is a great property for anyone who wants to stay very close to Cannon. The common area and kitchen of this chalet were very spacious and we had a great time hanging out here between days on the slopes. I would highly recommend this property. |

| We just spent the most relaxing 5 days/nights at the Klebenov Chalet in the Mittersill Resort in Franconia NH. time. This is the first time that we stayed in a vacation rental home instead of a hotel and I will certainly do this again on future vacations. The Klebenov was clean, comfortable, and within a short distance of the most beautiful views of the White Mountains. Everything was in order when we arrived, and Cort, the property manager was very accommodating setting us up with brochures and maps and even gave us directions to Vermont for a day trip. The kitchen was recently remodeled with all new appliances, dishes, pots, pans, utensils and a new front loading washer and dryer so it made the house even more comfortable. Now that we are back home to the Texas heat, we wish we were back in the White Mountains enjoying the clean dry air. Unfortunately, now it's back to work. |

From booking our chalet and checking in to checking out we found them to be every accommodating. The chalet is beautifully kept and in a great location. I really didn't want to go home. My family and I vacation once a year in the mountains. This chalet will be where we will stay every year as long as it is offered for rental. We couldn't be happier. | This is an excellent place to have a litte get together with friends. At moments you feel like the time is standing still and you are surrounded with lush white snow in natures prestine beauty. With Canon mountains at walking distance it is a non stop adventure. It was fun..... It would have been better to have one extra bathroom & few winter sport goods as complimentry items. We had some hard time trying to find some snow shoes.. |
