What a way to relax! |

A few of us rented the cabin to celebrate 3 consecutive birthdays (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). We were most impressed with the hot tub - the water changed colors and really set the mood of relaxation! The cabin itself was gorgeous with stunning views.
The only two drawbacks were that the fireplace was disabled (likely due to the fact it was July), and we were not able to use the grill (had not been cleaned and no propane tank).
Overall, the cabin exceeded our needs and expectations, and we are looking forward to returning during the winter months! |

This Cabin Made Our Christmas Complete! |

Our stay at Doolittle Mountain Cabin was amazing. The layout of the cabin was perfect for the scenario of our families. This cabin brought two families together following the marriage of their son and daughter on Dec. 20th. Following the honeymoon, our children met us (parents and siblings) at the cabin to share in Christmas festivities together. As honeymooners, they occupied the entire lower floor which was very private. The grooms parents and brother occupied the main floor utilizing the nice bedroom and bath and living room sofa. The brides parents and siblings occupied the third floor, the loft and attached bedroom and bath. It was a perfect setup. The main living area was so picuresque as was the amazing view on Christmas morning of fog lying on the river in the early morning. The trails, lovely deck and hot tub (the temperature did not get as warm as we would have liked it but it was still pleasant) were put to much use as the weather was very cooperative for the end of December. The cabin was stocked wonderfully for preparing meals for a large group. (The dishwasher was not working during the time we were there, however).
In conclusion, we loved spending time in this cabin and are planning on meeting there again! It sits in a beautiful spot with such spectacular views. The driveway was very steep but we had no problems. Any bit of ice or snow would definitely be a problem, even with four-wheel drive. However, it just added a little more flavor to our whole experience. Thanks Carolina Mornings for your recommendaton of this cabin in a last minute sitution for a large group. It was truly meant to be "ours" over Christmas 2008!

Manager Response: March 23, 2009 |
Dear Lisa,
Thank you for sharing your story and Christmas with Carolina Mornings. We always enjoy hearing about positive experiences at Doolittle!
We would have wished to hear from you about the dishwasher and hot tub so that we could make things for comfortable for you - the dishwasher has a wall switch that seemed to have been turned off during your stay. We are glad to have this brought to our attention, and will add this information to our property notebook to make the operation of the dishwasher easier for future guests!
Hot tubs are usually set to around 102 degrees, but on really cold nights they have to work really hard to reach and sustain that temperature. Unfortunately, this is especially with large groups, as there is often a lot of use and the tub remains uncovered for long periods of time.
Thank you for such wonderful feedback and we hope you will make Doolittle Cabin a Christmas tradition. |

This is the first time I have rented through Carolina Mornings and I cannot remember a time when the staff for a managed property that I used was more professional and accommodating. Further the cabin was even better than represented online. Excellent experience and when a property is desired in NC, I will again rely on Carolina Mornings for my needs.

| Five ladies in quest of relaxation found it at Doolittle Cabin. After a rough start (we were in a 5 car accident on the way up!) we welcomed the spacious hot tub. A trip to the Secret Garden Spa in Weaverville took out more kinks on Saturday. Just sitting on the porch looking at the river and the mountains removed the last of our stress. Can't wait until next year! |

| We had our men's retreat in this Wonderful cabin. The atmosphere and ambience was simply amazing. We had 5 adults and 4 teenagers and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves even the teenagers enjoy the cabin and hot tub and the mountain. We enjoy the peace and the quiet and the beauty of this magnificent mountain. For many of my men this was a first time experience and with this property made it one they will never forget. We are already making plans to return. I would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a getaway where you can be alone to reflect, refresh and renew. Thank You Carolina Mornings for such a wonderful property. |

Great mountain and river view |

| The house was beautifull inside and out, and well appointed with everything clean and in working order but the real attraction is the view, magnificent. The house is located at the top of a mountain, total seclusion, looking down at the French Broad River (big view of the river and being able to hear it, too) and very expansive view all around of the hills and mountains. The rental company was great, including communication and directions. We had no problems and would love to go back. |
