| The Asheville area is very beautiful and we enjoyed our visit. The cabin was very nice, cozy , and clean. The only thing that we did not like was the location of the cabin. The area was not very attractive and the road leading up to the cabin was not easy to go up. |

Neat and Cozy (for 2) |

Dear Owners of the Red Barn,
Please do not take offense to my above overall rating. The place was very neat, cozy, and decorated very cute for the "cabin look". We did enjoy our stay but have one issue... which was the odor of the water. I noticed it first when I washed my hands "with soap" and the smell of "rotten eggs" stayed on my hands. I thought at first that maybe it could have been that we were the most recent renters and the cabin had been vacant for a while and the pipes were cloggy, rusty, corroded... or something. However, that was not the case when we took our showers and our hair and skin smelled of this horrible odor. Again, please understand that we did enjoy the cabin... the odor of the water was our only issue. I would suggest that the owners check their water/filtering system because this odor was unbelievably "bad". Thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts and concerns about our stay. Have a blessed day. |

| My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. The cabin is cozy and comfortable, and the decorating scheme is amazing! I have never seen so many Red Barn items in my life! |

Wanted to stay longer |

We stayed three nights but wanted to stay longer. The place is terrific -- it is new and spotless and tastefully decorated yet whimsical. The accommodations are so comfortable -- great shower and bed -- so it's just like home. They've thought of almost everything, though we brought a hair dryer and were glad we did.
We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the rockers reading and enjoying the wooded surroundings. It's just 10-15 minutes from downtown Asheville. The only downside is getting there you must travel a short distance on an unpaved, gravel road. Our Honda Element did fine, but it might be a problem for some cars. |

not really what we were looking for... |

| It was a bit away from the Asheville area then we wanted and the area/view was not what we had in mind. It is not in a very nice area- trailer homes line the roads getting to this place. Inside was nice , but the bed was VERY noisy and made noise everytime you moved. We had to sleep in the other room on the futon, not wanting to wake our child. For this being a new cabin, I was surprised that they should have put in a good qualiy bed. I have NEVER been in a bed that made so much noise. Other than that, the inside of the cabin was very nice. I would not stay here again- I would pick a nicer area. |
