My son and I truly enjoyed our stay at Riverside Romance! The cabin was cozy, clean, and wonderfully decorated. My son especially loved the rustic style. The kitchen was well equipped and I was happy to find cloth napkins for us to use. YAY! (Cloth rather than paper napkins are one way to preserve the environment.) There was not a dishwasher as stated on the website but I brought my own (my teenager) so we didn't need it anyway.
The upper deck was fabulous for wine and dessert in the evening and coffee and newspaper in the morning. My dog loved lounging on the deck watching the birds feed and we loved the friendly cats that climbed the trees to tell us "Good morning!" This was our second experience renting from the owners of Riverside Romance. We previously rented Trout Rock. That too was a wonderful cabin. The owners are friendly and helpful. My son didn't know how to start a fire in the outdoor chiminea and the owner came over and helped him build a roaring fire.
The cabin is in the perfect location. We were able to find several places to hike and viewed many waterfalls. Yet, we were only about 30 minutes from Asheville where we could enjoy the art galleries and restaurants. I know we will be back to visit Riverside Romance in the future. Naturally, my son wants to take his girlfriend next time so there may actually be some "romance" in the equation! ;D I highly recommend this cabin to nature enthusiasts everywhere. I especially recommend it to individual travelers and single parents as this cabin is not as isolated as some I've been to. I hope you will plan your own "escape" and visit Riverside Romance. You won't be disappointed!!!

| my husband and i had a wounderful time at riverside romance,it was so quiet and peaceful,and the neighbors were very friendly.It was just a little out of the way from anything to do.And did not have air condition.Was very surprised but was not bad at all without it.All and all had a great time,thanks, |

| This lovely little cottage is a gem. The pictures do no do it justice, it's comfortable, well appointed and beautifully and eclecticly decorated. |
