Enjoyed being able to walk to beach. Spent much time on the private deck and using the grill for meals. Very quiet. Great location. One small bathroom worked fine for two of us, but not for 4 or 6 people. Would have liked a dishwasher.

My wife and I spent two weeks (with our dog) in this lovely cottage. We had the privacy of a house and yard with just a short walk to the beach. We have visited Sanibel Island several times in the past, but this visit was the best so far. The location is ideal, away from the traffic of Periwinkle but convenient to the locations we enjoy the most. We bring our own bikes and do a lot of riding around on them. My wife appreciated the selection of books that were available in the cottage. But most of all, we enjoy soaking in the ocean. More...

This is the first time we stayed at Shell Basket #1 Duplex. The unit is very clean and has a nice house feel. It's a few minutes away from the beach and the bicycle trails are great! We normally stay in a condo on Ft. Myers Beach, but decided we needed a change. I like the quiet - no doors slamming in the middle of the night, etc. I can sit outside on the deck in the morning and have a cup of coffee and read a few chapters in my book. My daughter and her girlfriend also loved having their own room. I would recommend this cottage to anyone! The sunsets on the beach are wonderful. We've already booked the same unit for next year. On behalf of our family in Tampa, and their last minute plans for a very short 2-day visit to Sanibel, we thank you Sanibel Accomodations(Karen & Lee) for taking care of us. The accomodations were excellent, clean, safe, and more than we could have asked.

Our family of 4 went sightseeing, swimming and shelling at the beach, we rented bikes and went on the trails, we went shopping, fishing, and visited terrific restaurants. We watched movies at night, enjoyed the hominess, and gazed at the stars in the sky before hopping off to bed. Mostly, we made the most of our short quiet time together with our beloved pet pooch and enjoyed talking to each other. We cannot wait to come back for a longer visit. Thank you.
