From the moment I found Mermaid Cottages online, everything about my
booking experience was second to none. Diane who was on vacation at the
time, didn't hesitate to return my calls and answer all of my questions. She
was also kind enough to give me fabulous recommendations of places to
eat on Tybee as well as activities taking place during New Year.

Fish Camp Cottage was everything that was depicted on the website and so
much more. It is as adorable, quirky, charming and quaint as it looks like in
the photographs. Not a single item was left out. I wish we could have
enjoyed the garden more than we did but the weather did not permit us to
do so....although we did suffer through the cold a couple of evening with
our glass of wine just to watch my dogs running around and investigating
every inch of the fenced in yard. I wouldn't change a thing about the
cottage at all and it is also in a perfect location of the island...away from the
hustle and bustle (not much while we were there, but I can imagine it being
quite busy during the summer months). Beautiful sunset walks by the
marshes in the evening!!!

One suggestion I would give would be to have a larger selection of dvd's,
movies, etc. as there is no video store on the island and we had to go into
Savannah to rent a movie....other than that...perfection!!

Tybee...what a charming little island and the people are so very
gracious...the beaches spectacular...which is something seeing we're from
Miami. The Breakfast Club...unbelievably delicious and Sundae
Cafe...OMG...you must try the fried green tomatoes topped with crab meat -
out of this world.

We truly had a memorable time and can't wait to return. Thank you Diane
and Mermaid Cottages for a wonderful start to the New Year!!!!

Our family celebrated our daughter's 13th birthday here a few weeks ago. This cottage is perfect for a small family, charmingly decorated and well-equipped with entertainment extra's (TV, DVD player, books, games) in case of rain. There's a lovely marsh view from the backyard, and it's only a few blocks from the beach and AJ's Dockside. Mermaid Cottages staff was very attentive, calling to see if we had everything we needed and suggesting a great restaurant for a birthday dinner. I would love to rent Fish Camp Cottage again--- only negative with Tybee Island (or any coastal area) is the mosquitoes! More...

My husband, son, daughter-in-law, grandson, and I stayed at Fish Camp over the Labor Day weekend. We certainly enjoyed our stay. The home is exactly as it looks on the web. The cottage was beautifully decorated and we felt at home. The location was great and we enjoyed the porches with our 9 month old. We could have used another bath. That addition would make it perfect. We still would highly recommend this beautiful cottage and hope to visit again soon.

We stayed at Fish Camp Cottage July 24-26. This is the cutest cottage. Diane is great. She stopped by to make sure that everything was good for us. It is was simply wonderful. We are planning another trip with Mermaid Cottages. We may try another cottage, but Fish Camp will be hard to resist. It is very cute and colorful cottage with all the amenities of home.
