| Tybee Tides gives anyone a real feel for low country atmosphere and cottage living at it's best. Tybee Tides cottage was just like being at home with all the extras. The location is fabulous, on the back side of the island and OH SO QUIET and the marsh view is to die for. The best things about Tybee Tides cottage is the preservation of the home itself and all the uniqueness the decorator and architect have retained. A perfect TEN!!! |

We've been vacationing on Tybee Island for 8 years, and always look forward to returning. Our stay in Tybee Tides was very relaxing. We loved the location of the house, especially sitting on the front porch watching the sunsets over the back river. It just doesn't get any better than that!
Tybee Tides is a great home for small family vacations. There were 4 in our party. The home is well equipped, and has just about anything you need - especially if you do a lot of cooking like we do. The layout of the kitchen/living area is a little tight once you get 4 adults roaming around in the area. There is also very little room/cabinet space for grocery items, so plan accordingly. You'll need to put everything in the fridge or leave it sitting on the counters.
The bedrooms are lovely and very comfortable, as well as the baths. And we loved the outdoor shower!
We also took our dogs, who seemed to enjoy the vacation as much as we did. They loved the fenced in yard and sitting on the front screened porch with us in the evening.
We're already counting down to our trip next year! |

We loved this cottage and I hate to brag on it too much because I don't want it to be too popular and thus hard for us to rent again. And, we will rent it again since our daughter will be attending SCAD in Savannah starting this fall. It is a perfect size cottage, decorated so cute and comfortable! The porch is amazing and we loved the sunsets. We love that it's away from the hustle and bustle of the beach area; it's quieter and a nice walking neighborhood. The cottage was clean and tidy and the kitchen well equipped since we ate in every night. My only suggestion is to have bath soap in the bathrooms. It would be easy to provide and it's a hassle to bring, especially if we're there for a short stay.
We were in love with the decor of this cottage - it was comfortable and the perfect size for us. I could move right in! |

Having a customer service background I tend to expect a lot:-) I was not dissapointed here.....the first day we arrived we were greated with homemade cookies that my kids loved. Everytime I had a question there was always someone there to answer it. Our air conditioning went out the first day we were there and one call to Diane and she had someone out that day to fix it....they called to follow up to make sure that everything was ok. I was even able to borrow a muffin pan.
The cottage is every bit as cozy as it looks in the pictures! They had a lot of books, DVD and board games to use as well.
If you rent this cottage be aware that there is no storage for food other than the refrigerator and the counter....that worked well for us. Also even though you are walking distance to the beach you have to commit for the day.....you are not close enough to just run back. The beach cart was very helpful.....but it was still a walk with the chairs, umbrella, cooler, towels and everything else.....but for us being on a quiet street over looking the marsh was great. You are even walking distance to AJ's Dockside resturaunt...they have great food.
The beach was wonderful, we stuck to 12th street...it was never crowded.
I would rent bikes the next time we come....it makes getting around easy and you can ride them on the beach!
We very much enjoyed our stay on Tybee!

The house was wonderful. It was fully stocked, has great furnishings, is very comfortable, and has a great front screened-in porch to hang out on. That was a welcome relief from the constant re-runs of I Carly and Sponge Bob my kids were watching in the main room. It's an easy walk to the beach, and I hear the corner restaurant is one of the best, but we didn't make it there this time. My only disappointment was that there was very little water in the bay in front of the house. Don't know if that was due to the season, or the long drought GA has had for the past few years. Would love to come back in the winter and walk along the beach. The dogs also felt very welcomed, and enjoyed the air conditioning while we were soaking up the sun. My elderly mother from Jersey loved the place, and wants to come back with her friends. Word of advice - bring those Off clip-on bug repellents. They really worked, and you will need them in July.

| Our long Memorial Day weekend stay at Tybee Tides was the best decision we could have made! Everything was just as pictured online -beautifully decorated, well stocked and so inviting. Even with the rainy weekend we had so much quality family time, enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and dinners on the screened porch. And the sunsets were just gorgeous. Be sure and take/rent bikes and explore the area - it is so quaint and eclectic. Tybee Island itself is a real gem and definitely an area we hope to return to for another family vacation. Thank you Mermaid Cottages for having such a quality rental property! |

Cecil Johnson. Great location - quiet and away from the hustle and
bustle but convenient to everything. Lots to do in Savannah and the

| Tybee Tides far exceeded my expectations. I had never been to Tybee Island or worked with Mermaid Cottages, but was very impressed. Diane went far beyond what I would expect to make my time at Tybee so enjoyable. The cottage is decorated beautifully, with light, comfortable colors. Although I fully intended to visit Savannah, I simply did not want to leave the cottage or the island. The front porch was excellent for the beautiful sunsets and relaxing. I would recommend this cottage to couples or families. The back yard is quite large and fenced. I can't wait to come back! |

We spent Christmas 2008 at Tybee Tides. It was perfect for our party of four - two adult couples. The cottage offered us a common room for television and dining, but the cottage offered plenty of privacy too. We all enjoyed the screened in porch that overlooks the marsh.
The cottage was well appointed with extra everything - towels, blankets, kitchen items, etc. We all appreciated that.
We enjoyed staying with you on Tybee very much; your rental agency made it so convenient and we all appreciated the house being decorated for the Christmas Holidays.

Decorated beautifully, well-equipped, and facing the marsh with its beautiful sunsets, the cottage couldn't have been a more perfect place for us (including our dog)to relax. It was an easy walk to the beach, too. The Mermaid service was excellent. We would like to go back sometime. |

An evening on the porch and a short walk to the beach were all it took for us to get into the Tybee groove. Just put on your flip flops and move at a slower pace, you'll get the groove.
Tybee Tides was easy to love, all the comforts of home but far from the hectic pace of that we calling living. This cottage is lived in by the owners with old family photos, momentos, and treasures sprinkled throughout and easy to use electronics for films and music.
We enjoyed cooking in the well stocked kitchen (blender, coffee maker, dichwasher, cookware & then some), drinking coffee on the porch and snuggling up to one of the films provided on DVD in the living room by the fireplace. Oh boy, do I miss those frozen Peach Daiquiris. Sipping one on the comfy porch couch was exceptionally relaxing.
The bedrooms are all beautiful with lots of great linens, plenty of bath towels too but bring your own beach towels. There are no beach chairs so if you can't live without one, bring it!
Tybee Tides is a cottage you may want to spend more time in relaxing rather than visiting the island, that's what we did! We cannot wait to come again and recommend the cottage to all of our family and friends. |

The bedrooms are located so that if you did bring your baby, late night/early morning feeding/crying would not bother other family members. We enjoyed the walk to the beach and were glad to have the beach cart to lug our gear. This is a great place to ride your bicycles. We will try and come back in '09. |

Our first visit to Tybee was complimented by the experience we had staying at Tybee Tides!
We loved the quiet street along with the spectacular sunset views. Although not on the beach, we were an easy walk or bike ride to the river's edge or the point with so many sandbars that our girls could not choose which one to explore!
The house was cozy & relaxing. We will return next summer as we made wonderful memories here! Thanks for sharing your home! |

| This 3 bedroom cottage is beautfully appointed and landscaped, clean and well-equipped. The large back yard is great for dog owners. There is a gas grill too for outdoor cooking. The screened front porch is classic tybee island, and includes a small table for eating on one side and comfortable seating on the other side for watching the lovely sunset. There are overhead fans on the front porch, as well as in the living room and master bedroom. We plan to stay at Tybee Tides again--it is so worth being away from the bustle and noise of the beach side of the island. Another nice thing about Tybee Tides is that it is on the recommended bike trail--bicycling is big on the island as is walking. People are very friendly, and the island is pet friendly. |
