Great Cabin, Great Price |

| We stayed at the cabin during the July 4th weekend and had a great experience. The cabin was an excellent setting for our group as we had 2 small children and 5 adults. The San Bernardino Forrest was just steps away and the cabin is located near the end of the road so it dosent get much traffic. The televisions could use some updating but we weren't there to watch tv :) We would stay there again. |

This place is very well suited for a large family. With enough sleeping area to fit 8-10 people, the house has more than enough room for a weekend get-together. The common area is very spacious includes a player piano (that does need to be tuned, no biggie).
The kitchen is very well equipped and spacious enough for a small handful of cooks at a time. The "bar style" also makes for a nice touch. I would not recommend trying to bake anything though, the oven seems to be VERY underpowered.
The bedrooms are very homey and cozy. All beds were clean and comfortable. The raised bedroom had a nice small office area for the on-the-go businessman (by the way, an unsecured/free WIFI internet connection was available, probably from a nearby house). It also contained many board games for children.
Neither of the bathrooms had working locks, so for those paranoid about using the bathroom may want to bring a door sign of some sort.
The garage can actually fit two cars, but its a very tight fit, and i'd recommend two compact cars. Otherwise, only one full-size car. The driveway can fit 2 cars easily. There is only one other house neighboring Colbert Cabin. The other side and the back is literally the National Forest and gives a lot of freedom for outdoor snow play.
The neighborhood itself is very quiet, and the road leading to the house is pretty long and secluded. The house can keep fairly loud noise levels sustained.
Quick Warning: in the Dining Area, there is a wooden support beam obstructing the walkway, not too big a deal, but the wood is very old and was giving our guests splinters.
But All-in-all -- a GREAT stay.
PROS: large area, secluded, cozy, well-equipped kitchen, player piano, large living area
CONS: underpowered oven, no bathroom locks, wooden/splintered support beam in dining area. |

| We stayed at this cabin for 3 nights. Overall, the place was very clean and had a nice 'home' environment. There was plenty of room for the kids to play. They especially liked the board games available for them at the loft. There was a ravine in the back of the cabin. So we were able to go sledding there without having to leave the premises. There was also and area for the kids to play with and even make a snowman. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Colbert cabin and will recommend this place to our friends. |

The comforts of home |

| My friends and I decided to take a weekend getaway to the snow. After weeks of searching for the perfect cabin, we stumbled across Colbert's Cabin. The pictures do not describe how wonderful this home is. As soon as you walk in the door, you can feel the comfort and love that has taken place. It is close to everything, and stocked with all the necessities needed for a group. I will DEFINITELY stay again. Also, the home is much bigger then what the pictures show. It was absolutely PERFECT! Thank you so much for such a great experience! |

| This cabin suited our needs very well for 3 adults, one teenage boy, and two teenage girls. The girls (two teens and one adult) enjoyed the loft. Plenty of space to spread out in the living room/great room. Kitchen was well-equiped. Moonridge location is close to Bear Mountain and Snow Summitt. It can be hard to find the first time as "Sand Canyon" takes quite a few turns. |

This a perfect house for families to get together, very spacious, and very comfortable. The kitchen es big, and fulls of pots y and pans, don't need to bring a thing. The location is perfect and near trails, and only a few minutes from the lake. I'll recommend this house to any one. My family and I agreed that next time we'll definitely need to stay longer.
sincerely...

It was plenty big enough for my family of 4 plus one of my daughters friends and our 3 dogs we went on long walks in the nice neighborhood and bbq on the back patio. this place gives a new meaning to the term silence is deafening (loved it) my only complaint is i didnt like the satalite t.v. (cables better)
weve been renting cabins here in big bear for over 10 years and this one made the top ten list enjoy!!!!! |
