Very nice quiet. Really liked that I was able to bring my pet, without some huge deposit to lay down. Would definitly like to visit again.
Did not like the metal stairs. |

| Had a great time, conveniently close to the village but the kitchen is not a full kitchen - there was no stove. Other than that, if your here for snowboarding then this place is all that you need. |

The actual location is on the hill and is very serene and beautiful, and the veiw is very nice. But that's about all we really enjoyed.
The unit had no central heating, but two weak and cheap portable heaters and 2 fireplaces neither one of which worked properly. The first night was painful becuse the smoke from fireplaces stayed inside the room (as the part responsible for letting the smoke out was broken)but turning off the fireplace was not as option either as the space heaters were not strong enough to keep you warm thru the night. In the morning we complained, and the owner of the property agreed that the fireplace is not working right and gave us 2 strong heaters for the following night.
The overall condition of the unit itself was in our opinion way too warn out and could have used another coat of paint and a new bed and bedding.
The last issue was the parking situation....which was awful. We were never warned that the driveway is very steep and in the winter is unbearable. WE went in my husband's brand new Nissan Titan (with snow cables of course) and had a hell of a time getting up the driveway each time we tried.
We lost our cables (which went to shreds and we had to buy new ones) and damaged the area above one tire ripping out a huge chunk of a rain fender (i think that's what you call a piece of plastic above the tire..lol)
So, considering all said above i would not recommend this property, especially during the winter |

Big Bear Cabin |

| The cabin it's self was nice but I do have 2 issues with the property. One, The parking was terrible. There were only two spots and there was five cars that were fighting for position. We came out one morning and we were blocked in by another car. The car wasn't moved until about 11:00 that morning. That isn't what I expected. That wasn't good. The 2nd issue is that no one mentioned that we would have to walk up several flights of stairs to get to the cabin. I understand now why they make you haul away your own trash. No one wants to make that walk. Normally this would be an issue but with the ice and snow and having to park so far away and my wife falling twice - it was an issue. The cabin has a very nice jacuzzi tub and fireplace. The beds are not comfortable and the heater kept shutting off after about 5 minutes so you better take plenty of firewood that you will be packing up an icy driveway and several flights of stairs. We have stayed at several different places in Big Bear over the years and we would not stay here again in the winter but it would be a nice place to stay in the Spring or Summer. Great view of the lake! |

Thank you for your response to our survey on Unit 983 "C". We have thoroughly cleaned the snow and ice out of the common parking lot and made entrance to each unit. The sun has melted practically everything on the property.
The only thing you need to do when leaving is do the dishes and take your trash to one of the "Clean Bear Trash Sites" Both of these requests are to get rid of any food/trash that attracts ants, mice, birds and coyotes. We are sorry this was not to your expectations.

The room was great for the price. Very cozy and cute. The fireplace was nice and the jet tub was great.
My only complaint was the mattress was kind of hard and I had an allergic reaction (rash) to the sheets (maybe it was the detergent or bleach used). I've never had this problem before. My husband did not have the same problem
Overall, we had a great time, and we recommend it! |

| This particular property gives you nice basic amenities plus hot tub, fireplace, and 2 bedrooms for a very reasonable price. Be aware that the kitchen is very limited and doesn't include stove or range. Your ability to cook is limited, but you're on vacation so going out to eat is likely part of your plan anyway, right? |

Very Nice Cabin and Experience |

This was a very nice little cabin within easy walking distance of the Big Bear Village shops and dining areas.
Easily accessible, but definitely not wheelchair friendly due to significant steps and snow grating (though this was not an issue with our visit, this is just an observation).
The cabin easily lodges 4 people with 2 small beds in one room and one larger bed for a couple in another.
The kitchen area was small, but manageable, though I don't think one would want to stay too long in the kitchen as it is pretty cramped. However, there is a shared outdoor area with the three other similar cabins that share the same courtyard/bbq area.
This cabin would be ideal to be rented in tandem with the other three cabins for larger parties as they share this mutual area.
The spa-tub is located within the "master" bedroom. That room was carpeted and there could be issues with getting out of the tub and dripping water across the carpeted floor.
My one "issue" was that the breaker switch for the spa-tub was flipped off upon our arrival and it took some time to figure out this issue (we thought the spa was just broken...which turned out to NOT be the case).
All in all, it was a very nice property, very well maintained and very close to the shopping and dining that is offered in Big Bear Village |

| Has two bedrooms each with its own fireplace and the kitchen is between the two-good for privacy. There is no couch or sitting area except for at the kitchen table and outside. Nice deck and patio and a great view of the 4th of July firework show. There are ALOT of steps to climb to get in and out of this cabin. The steps are iron grate type and were hard for our dog to walk on. |

| Thank you for your review of Lakeview Lodge. We will review the descriptions of the the 7 cabins in this complex and state the units do not have a living room. The owner has put in the iron grate for easy waking during snow and ice conditions. We are sorry your dog had a problem with the grating. Hopeully, you will come and stay with us again. There is one unit in this same complex that has no grating and it own living room.If this location is to your liking come stay with us in unit Lakevie Lodge G unit 980. |
