166 South Campbell Ave Tybee Island GA 31328. This little 1940's cottage has the orignal walls, heart of pine floors and screened porch and dock. Lovingly decorated and filled with her treasures, Pearl ( the yellow lab) and Katie ( her human) can't be here year round which is why they loan out their cottage to visitors. Yes, all pets are welcome but keep in mind there is not a fenced in yard. The cottage features 4 rooms- a living room, bedroom ( 1 queen bed and 1 twin bed) a cottage kitchen ( no dishwasher and no washer and dryer) and a "under the hula moon" screened porch. And that 5th room is a dock on the tidal creek, deep enough in high tide to kayak from and for your dogs to jump in the water. Yes- this is the only place on Tybee where dogs can actually be in the water without fear of a ticket! 2 AC window units, high speed internet and wifi, cable TV and a HUGE CD collection. South Campbell Ave is an almost private street ending at the Horsepen Creek gated community- so very few...

Nice Spot--needs a bit of work
We stayed at this property in November. The house is great. Furnished well, situated on a nice lot, great dock and outside space, comfortable bed, nice linens, and a well-stocked kitchen. All you could need for a couple and a dog! We had a great time on our visit, and would recommend this property.
We had a few issues with the house. It was pretty chilly the weekend we stayed, and the heater in the house didn't quite heat into the bedroom. There was a space heater available, but it tripped the breaker twice--so it was a bit strange to use. So, we woke up chilly a few mornings. I told the property managers about this, and they are going to look into getting a new heater. This isn't probably an issue that often on Tybee--so most shouldn't worry about this.
Also, I agree with others that have posted about the bathroom. The house is so great and well furnished that it is a bit sad when you see the bathroom. The shower was sufficient and the pressure good, but it was small and a bit outdated. Seems like something could be done to make this better.
Overall, this is a great little house, and I would recommend it.

Fiddler on the Creek
My 11 year old son and I stayed here for a weekend and had a great time. Perfect spot for us marsh/creek/nature lovers. Lots of wildlife and places to watch and enjoy. Very comfortable beds with great views and marsh sounds. No traffic and no noise pollution. We will definately be back. More...

Great time in Tybee!
The house was really nice. It is small but great for 2 people. The evenings on the marsh are quiet and we had everything there we needed. Being close to shopping & dining was a plus. We will stay at a mermaid cottage again. Thanks for a good time! More...

Quaint quiet cottage ...
... just what the doctor ordered. I enjoyed the cottage for a few days of solo R&R and it was just what I needed. With a stack of books, I spent most of my time on the dock and the screened porch. I especially loved the chaise on the porch - I napped there every day! I appreciated the rustic charm of the cottage and the friendly and helpful Mermaid Cottages staff. More...
