Vacation Rental Description
Mar Vista Grande is located in the famed Ocean Drive section of North Myrtle Beach, and overlooks one of the widest stretches of beach along South Carolina’s Grand Strand. This ocean-front unit is located directly ocean-front and views to the beach are available on the large balcony. This is a three-bedroom and three-bathroom condominium, and includes a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, and washer & dryer. The maximum occupancy for this unit is 10 people, with the master furnishing a king-sized bed, a second room featuring two queen-sized beds and the third bedroom housing two queen-sized beds. There are multiple TVs and DVDs players in the condominium, a jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom, and high speed internet access available at the breakfast bar area of the kitchen.All condominiums at the Mar Vista Grande are complemented by excellent amenities including a fitness center with gym-quality equipment, a business center for computer and printer use, and indoor and outdoor water features including pools, spas, a kiddie pool, and a lazy river. Relax at the indoor pool to the soothing waterfall of our mosaic water wall. Amenities also include WiFi internet access in common areas, high speed internet in each condominium, and a street-side common patio area furnished with tables and chairs for you to relax and enjoy the fresh air and view of Ocean Boulevard. The Mar Vista Grande is a non-smoking facility. Parking is available on garage floors underneath the building. The Ocean Resorts rental office is located on the fifth floor, and an experienced and dedicated staff will ensure your complete satisfaction with every aspect of your stay at the Mar Vista Grande.

The first impression of unit 511, was a little off putting, as the quality of some areas were not what we expected. The walls required some cleaning to remove many marks and it took my wife an hour or two to wash off these marks. Carpets were dirty. All the Electronic equipment was up to date, plus the wi-fi connection proved very beneficial. Kitchen was well equiped. A couple of areas needing attention are, (1) Cleaning of the Carpets throughout,(2) Possible replacement of the coffee table, end tables and Main TV stand.(3)Clean sofa's.(4)Paint walls. (5)Vaccum behind beds and furniture. These recommendations are offered as suggestions only, and has not deterred us from booking the same unit for next October 2010. The building it self is one of the cleanest and well maintained, of any we have stayed in over the past 6 years. The frontend staff Heather and Mandy, are to be highly recommended, they were so helpful and couteous, any issues we did have were managed in a more than timely fashion. Thanks

Great family vacation |

Overall, the complex and the unit we stayed in is
wonderful. The kitchen is well stocked with many
dishes, etc. I would make a few suggestions to
the owner. It would be very helpful to have some
beach supplies on hand. A few beach chairs and
an umbrella should be essential for a beach
rental. The master bed mattress slopes in the
center. The cleaning staff could do a better job
upon check in. Since we are renting, it would be
helpful to have a few spices on hand to cook with.
However, the place is beautiful and very comfy.
Most of my suggestions would be directed to the
management. I found them to be less than helpful
and not very accompdating. Simple requests that
should of been easy to help us with were
impossible for them. Furthermore, the pools
were, at times, dirty and cold. We had some cool
weather and the pools were too chilly. It seems
like that would be the time to heat them.
We were there the week before Labor Day. This
is a wonderful time to visit. It isn't as crowded.
However, the city has obviously cut the number of
life guards on duty. There was not a life guard
within a half mile. With 5 kids, I appreciate having
a life guard in the area. |

| We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed watching the fireworks from the deck. We have stayed here for the past 3 years and love your resort. The pools and grounds are very well maintained. The condo was decorated beautifully. It was stated that they had queen beds but they are very small for queens. So sleeping was difficult. Thank you for a wonderful stay and great memories we made. The only problem was that the week went by too fast. |

| The Mar Vista 511 was a fabulous condo! We were first impressed with the beautiful building, both inside and out. I loved the fact that the doors opened into a hallway- not a "breezeway." It made it much quieter without all those condo doors slamming b/c of the wind tunnel that's usually created with balcony doors left open. The workout room was very well-equipped and clean. There was never a wait at any of the 4 elevators, plenty of parking, and the staff was always friendly. The pool was never crowded, always clean, and access to the beach was super easy. The only drawback was that the pool restrooms were on the 2nd floor, so every time my 3 yr. old had "to go," we had to go into the bldg., get on the elevator, and go to the 2nd floor. It was always clean, but not convenient when you have small children. The condo itself was very well equipped with nice furniture, nice mattresses, and it was very clean when we arrived. The rooms and balcony were very spacious and even with 10 of us in the condo, we never felt crowded with the exception of the kitchen, which was somewhat small. However, if you don't have 3 people trying to cook at one time, it wouldn't be a problem at all! This is the best condo we've ever rented, and we'll definitely do it again next year! You just can't beat N. Myrtle Beach with the beach lifeguards, huge waves, clean beaches, and beautiful weather! We went to Panama City last year, and the beaches were nasty, the water had green slimy algae 5 out of 7 days we were there (we couldn't get in the ocean on those days), and there was not much entertainment for families. However, NMB is quite the opposite, in our opinion! It's worth the extra 2 hours we have to drive to get there! The Mar Vista is our new favorite place to stay in NMB!!!! |

The condo was excellently furnished. All 3 bedrooms were top notch. The mattresses and flat screens made them great evening get aways for each of us. The kitchen had all things necessary. We were pleased to find that the pots/pans/utensils were the best we have found at any rental property.
The location was so easy to access the faciilty plus all NMB and MB locations.
Check-in was easy and quick. |

| My boyfriend and I stayed at this condo for a week in May. We were extremely pleased with the accommodations. Very tastefully decorated, and the master bed is to die for!! Master bath, also awesome!! I have a very stressful job, and getting away here was just what I needed. Very relaxing!!! I highly recommend this condo. |

We have stayed many places in n myrtle beach every year for the past 30 yrs when the mar vista grand opened we where probly one of their first guest.We have stayed there every year since they opened and will keep on staying there.The property manager sylvia and her staff are great they do all they can for you.The property is always clean and well kept.i only have one problem with the property and i have heard others say the same you need to get the pool bar open it has not been open in may since i have stayed there some of us have to take early vacation in may.I dont drink my self but it would be great to get a coke or glass of tea and not have run up to your room or carry a cooler.Me and my family just love the mar vista and will return every may.Also the beach area is great always clean and the beach chair rental is a great help.

I HAVE TO SAY THAT THE MAR VISTA GRAND IS THE NICEST RESORT WE'VE EVER STAYED IN AT MYRTLE BEACH. OUR STAY IN 511 WAS VERY RELAXING AND THE POOL ACCOMMODATIONS WERE OUTSTANDING. MY ONLY COMPLAINT WAS THAT THE INSIDE HOT TUBE WASN'T HEATING PROPERLY DURING OUR STAY, ONLY THE FIRST NIGHT WE WERE THERE AND WE ENJOYED IT TREMENDOUSLY. MY HATS OFF TO THE MAR VISTA GRAND AND TO THERE STAFF, WE WILL CONTINUE TO VACATION WITH YOU GUYS EACH TIME WE VISIT MYRTLE BEACH. THANKS SO MUCH FOR SUCH AN ENJOYABLE STAY!

| Overall, this was a great place and worked well with the large group and multiple families we had. One suggestion that may be worth looking into, however, is a pool restroom on the ground level. Having small children and knowing (when they are having so much fun) that they wait to the last minute to let you know they need to go to the restroom, was a little bit of an inconvenience knowing you had to go to the second floor. Otherwise, very nice and cozy as a home away from home for a week. |
