Great Place to Vacation and get acquainted with new Grand baby |

This is our second year of renting a vacation home in Pacific Grove and the
service by Monterey Bay Property Mgmt. was great and they made the property
available a few days in advance due to the early arrival of our grandson. The
home was great for the two of us and the back yard surpassed my
expectations. The off-street parking was a real plus also. The home had
everything we needed and the location was wonderful for walking to anywhere
you needed to go. The weather was really nice, our temps. at home were in
the triple digits and I was in heaven with the cooler climate. The best part was
being close to my daughters house in Monterey, which I could walk to and take
my 17 month old granddaughter for walks. There was nothing I didn't like
except having to leave, but I will be back, hopefully next year. |

A charming oasis |

| It was a pleasure to spend a month in this charming environment. The well-equipped kitchen, evocative private garden, comfortable bedroom and inviting neighbourhood added to my pleasant stay. I did not have - or need - a car, and enjoyed the proximity to the oceanside path which took me to Monterey (and the pleasures of the Osio Cinema), the excellent library, and the pleasant shopping experiences at Nob Hill and Grove Market. Both Rhiannon (and Ken, the maintenance guru) was most helpful in arranging for small repairs. My thanks to the owners of 125-16th Street for sharing their home. See you next year! |

Our Home away from home |

My husband and I stayed in this lovely cottage for the entire month of Jan. 2009. We were blessed with unseasonably warm weather the entire month.
We found it to be very comfortable for a couple. I would not suggest anymore than two as the bathroom is quite small and located in the middle of the kitchen and living area.
We especially enjoyed the outdoor living area. We used the grill provided and chimenea often in the evenings.
The bed was most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. The sheets and towels were very luxurious, adding to the comfort.
The couch was recently replaced since the first time we looked at the property and it too was very inviting.
We really enjoyed the short walk down the 16th street to the bike/walking trail along the coast.
I really appreciated how very easy the cottage was able to be kept clean! The hardwood floors made it very easy to simply run the small vacuum over when needed!
Our stay in the pristine cottage was the single most memorable vacation we have ever had.
We hope to be able to come back on a yearly basis!

Our favorite PG "home"! |

| Since 2002, we have rented this cottage for at least four of our annual PG vacations. We think of it as "our little cottage" and it feels like coming home. On a few occasions it has not been available when we were in town and while the other properties have been fine, this little cottage is our favorite by far! As a matter of fact, we have on occasion based our vacation time on when we could rent 125-16th! The furnishings are very comfortable, the kitchen is well-stocked and the appliances are up-to-date and well-maintained. The neighborhood is very quiet and the private patio is a real plus - the owners have really put a lot of time and thought into the lovely landscaping! You can tell they love this cottage, too. It's close enough for walking to all the PG shops and restaurants and we often walk to and from Monterey as well. We don't even rent a car when we visit - we use the convenient bus services for any long-distances. We've made dear friends on 16th St. and throughout PG, we've become members of the Historic Assn. and the Aquarium - and we hope someday to live permanently in PG. |

My favorite spot |

This is the third time we have rented this delightful cottage. We love how pristine and well-kept the property is, and it is the perfect size for a couple. We spend our days playing golf or riding bikes along the ocean trail and then either cook a great meal in the well-appointed kitchen or walk to dinner at one of the fabulous nearby restaurants. This really is my favorite spot anywhere. The driveway, unusual in this neighborhood just steps from Lover's Point, allows for off-street parking. The home is also set up for internet use and we are able to work while there as needed. The back yard has a delightful garden, barbecue and patio area, which we use frequently. The bed is more comfortable than our own!
A few minor inconveniences do need to be noted. Due to the age of the home, even though it has been completely updated in appearance, the plumbing is very old and one needs to be very careful about flusing toilet paper. The refrigerator is noisy, but with the door closed to the bedroom, it can't be heard at night. And the smoke alarm will sound if you use the broiler in the kitchen. But these minor inconveniences do not detract from this charmingly decorated, comfortable home away from home. |
