Vacation Rental Description
Experience the vintage charm of Pacific Grove while enjoying all the modern comforts of home in this beautiful two-story Victorian-style three bedroom, two and a half bathroom home built in 2002. Your family can spread out in this comfortable home of approximately 1800 square feet featuring beautiful hardwood floors throughout the spacious first floor.
Cherry wood cabinets as well as a lovely tin ceiling add warmth and charm to the well-equipped kitchen. Meal preparation is easy with a full-size refrigerator, built-in gas cook top range/oven and handy microwave. The dishwasher and disposal make clean-up a breeze! Enjoy dinner in the adjoining formal dining area, which seats six comfortably, or on the outdoor patio.
The open floor plan can be zoned by doors separating the kitchen from the dining area and the living room from the entry way. An “instant gas log” fireplace in the living room adds ambiance to your evenings while you enjoy a good book or a movie on cable TV/DVD, which is available both in the downstairs living room and the upstairs bedrooms. In addition to the warmth generated by the fireplace, the house is heated by central forced air.
The maximum number of guests (including children) which may be accommodated at this property is six. All three bedrooms are carpeted and located on the second floor. (There are 14 steps up to the bedrooms.) The master bedroom, decorated in soft tones of rose and green, has a queen-size bed and a private bath featuring a stall shower. Enjoy watching the evening stars from your private balcony just off the master bedroom! One guest room has a queen-size bed, while the other guest room has two twin beds. The guest bath features a shower over tub. There is also a half bath downstairs, as well as a washer and dryer in the kitchen for your convenience.
Another special feature of this lovely property is the unique “sun tower” at the top of the stairs. In addition to the lovely panoramic view, this den/office offers a wet bar with sink and under-counter refrigerator. You’ll also enjoy the large front porch with seating, and the convenience of off-street parking in the double car garage. (There are four steps up to the entry way.)
This lovely home is fully furnished and equipped with cookware, dinnerware, kitchen linen and utensils. Beds have mattress pads, sheets, pillows and pillow cases, blankets and spreads or comforters. There is at least one bath towel, hand towel and wash cloth per person plus some extras. There will also be enough soap and paper products to get you started comfortably

Wonderful "Gathering" Home |

| This was our 10th year of renting with MPM, and we've shared some wonderful homes in that time. But this house, made comfortable and inviting, may be my favorite so far!!! The first thing I wanted to share with our sons, and their families when they came to visit, was what I call the "Hidey-hole", the wonderful, carpeted space under the upstairs office, with it's own port hole and light. I was certain that our grandsons, ages 6, 3, and 18mo's, would be enchanted!! And I was right!!!! It became an activity center for reading and wrestling and laughing!!!! The arrangement of shared space downstairs, big living room, seperatable dining room and kitchen, gave us room to visit with company. And the upstairs bedrooms and baths were quiet and inviting as well. The only complaint, from our daughter-in-law who lives in a quiet neighborhood, was about the noise on Central at night, though none of our other visitors seemed to notice. With Lighthouse a block up, we were able to enjoy many wonderful walking experiences, like the Monday evening (4 to 7pm) Farmers Market, and a shop new to us, Chocolate Dreams, which became the big hit with ALL of our visitors!!!!!! The Movie Theatre withine walking distance was fun, too. And having Lovers Beach 2 blocks in the other direction, was another special treat!! So many near-by places, Peppers (on Forest) and the Natural History Museum (Forest/Central) for example, were other walking destinations. I would highly recommend this home!! |

great for family holidays |

We've been happy with all our February rentals on the Monterey Peninsula, but this one was the best suited to our needs this year; its 3 bedrooms and large dining room accommodated six people very easily. It had all the conveniences to which we've become accustomed at home. The children loved the many places it provided for hide-and-seek.
It is well located, being a block from Lighthouse,a block from Caledonia children's playground and 3 blocks from Lovers' Point beach. However, the night-time traffic might bother a light sleeper in the one bedroom overlooking Central Ave. That is not a problem in the other bedrooms.
We enjoyed the central heating during the wettest and coldest February in years.
Monterey Bay Rentals was very swift in dealing with the problem of not having wireless access.
I would recommend this home to anyone wanting a place that is comfortable, centrally located and large enough to accommodate a family of six.
