Bay view Cottage, overlooks the Pacific Grove Municipal Golf Course and Monterey Bay. It is only a short walk to Lovers Point and Lighthouse Avenue. Enjoy Bayside Recreation Trail or the fine restaurants in town, each within 4 blocks of this newly furnished 2 bedroom 2 ½ bath home.

Watch the bay change colors with your morning coffee in the eat-in kitchen (seats 4-6). The fully-equipped kitchen includes a gas range, electric oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher and garbage disposal.

In the living room, be warmed by the sunlight streaming onto the hardwood floors from the French doors. You can relax on the living rooms prairie-style furniture as you watch the bay from the large picture window. Enjoy the gas fireplace or the large flat screen TV.

Great location, great view

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is ideal--5 minutes from downtown,
5 minutes from Lovers Point and even Cannery Row is walkable. The view is
spectacular--stately cypress trees, green of the golf course, and of course (on
a clear day) the ocean.

The house is well decorated and nicely laid out. The only minor issues are the
need to fix the golf ball net (which we've been told will be done) and the
potential of turning the finished garage into a rec. room or extra bedroom.

One nice feature is that both bedrooms have King beds. Thus adult guests
were comfortable. Many rentals have child-sized twin beds in the second
bedroom, so that can be a problem for some families.

A wonderful location

We loved 747J and we loved the location. Looking across the street at the golf course, close to a park (where our daughter could play) and near downtown. The house was very comfortable. Good network connectivity (necessary for my work), nice appliances in the house and comfortable bedrooms.

The back yard is pretty sparse and not very pretty, but the front yard has a very nice, low water usage landscaping that we enjoyed. There is a good spot for barbecues (barbecue included) in the back that we used as well. More...

The stay was very good.

Have rented this same home for the past two years and this year it was the best stocked with kitchen utensils and other items than in the past. Did not find the instructions on use of DVD & CD this would be helpfull.

Just Perfect..

The family stayed the month of June and from start to finish we couldn't have been happier.
Good service from Monterey Bay Property Management with booking and all the paperwork handled effortlessly and deposit refund prompt.

The cottage was great - Just 4 minutes walk to beach and 4 minutes to the town and great views over the golf course to the sea. Facilities were good and the kids loved the fast internet connection as well. Very quickly felt like home.
Would definately stay again without hestitation.

27 day stay in Monterey Bay Property

I mistakenly believed I had booked a full month of Feb stay. MBP Mgmt required that we check out mid morning
feb 27 even tho they charged for full 28 days.Otherwise helpful rental agent said she believed this was for convenience of the cleaning crew.This resulted in extra motel charges for us. Ads stated 3 bathrooms--3rd bath locked and not available. Big problem since we had numerous overnight and weekend guests. Disposal clogged 2 times; under powered compared to other rentals in the area. Two car garage boarded up and not available for use. We may use MBPMgmt again since we have been satisfied in the past. However, we are researching other possibilities now for Feb 2010. More...

Thank you, Lee, for joining us at 747J for the second year! I am unclear as to why you felt you must depart on the 27th, since your rental agreement clearly showed a departure date of Feb. 28. I am sorry if there was a misunderstanding. We do typically leave the afternoon of Feb. 28th following our guests' departure and the morning of Mar. 1 for the housekeepers to ready the property for a Mar.1 arrival in the afternoon. However, in this instance, the next arrival was not until Mar. 2, so you certainly could have stayed additional days if you desired. As was explained prior to your arrival, the third bathroom was locked due to ongoing repairs. As you may recall, the agent offered to come and unlock it for you should you need it. Thank you for letting us know about the disposal. We will check on the horsepower to be sure it is adequate. To clarify the parking situation, the garage was converted years ago to storage and laundry space, accessible off the kitchen (no change since your original stay). Off-street parking is available in the driveway in front of the converted garage and in the driveway on the opposite side of the house. We look forward to the opportunity to accommodate you in 2010.
