We had a great week here. Monterey and the bay is a very special area and Cannery Row an important part of the overall local scene. This apartment is perfectly located, with a sight of the bay, maybe restricted, but the view is over the roofs of the aquarium and actual buildings featured in Steineck's Cannery Row.It is not all building as there are plenty of trees around. The apartment layout and furnishing is very comfortable and ideal for two, and balconies front and rear allow comfortable watching of the world going by. There is some traffic noise but it should be no problem for most people. Parking is restricted in daytime on weekdays, but a 'permit parking only' pass provided was for a very convenient garage just one block away. Monterey Property Management were friendly, efficient and very easy to deal with in all respects.

| Location, location, location! Everything was as advertised. The condo is steps away from the aquarium, walking paths and shops. We will return. |

| I really enjoyed my stay in Monterey. I actually came as a intern that needed a place to stay for a couple months. The apartment was great with everything furnished! The location was ideal too! You can see the aquarium from the patio, close to the recreation trail, and within walking distance to many shops/restaurants. There is a grocery store one block away if you want to cook instead! I would recommend this apartment to anyone! |

| My husband and I stayed in this condo for a month to get away from the Ohio snow and visit family members in Monterey. The condo was very convenient to visit all the tourist attractions on Cannery row (one block) and walk to restaurants and the bike and walking path along the ocean. The condo is large and well equipped and the windows make the rooms very bright. As the weather was cold and rainy we found the living room with the tile floor very drafty and cold even with the heater and fire going. As you are in the tourist area we found it very noisy with cars parking and buses unloading. Parking is a problem if you do not like to walk. |

| Thank you so much for your input! While the weather this week is warm and toasty, it can be chilly on the Monterey Bay in the winter! As a result of your input regarding the tile floors, the owners of the property have given us permission to purchase some large, fluffy area rugs that will keep your feet nice and warm the next time you come! |

Convenient and Comfortable Vacation Condo |

This unit is very comfortable, modern, and roomy. The decor is cheerful, and the clerestory windows in LR and BR bring in lots of extra light. On cool nights the gas fireplace was a delight and provided lots of heat. The kitchen had the basics of what one needs for simple cooking and was more than adequate. Management was very responsive to a couple of concerns we had and took care of them same day. The unit is well sound-insulated from the other unit, which shares a common wall, and from the rental agency offices, which were conveniently right downstairs. The only concern we would have about staying there again is that, because it is literally a stone's throw from tourist-ridden Cannery Row, crowd noises can be a little intrusive. But that was only in the daytime, and we were out most of the time anyway. Perhaps families with children (if allowed) or young couples would not mind the modest amount of noise that was, at times, distracting to an older married couple.
The other side of the coin was that it was easy to get to many of the major sites and sights. The amazing Monterey Bay Aquarium is a two-minute walk away. And the beautiful, rugged shoreline is just a few minutes more. Situated centrally between Old Monterey and the charming downtown of Pacific Grove, the location of 816AW (it really should have a meaningful name, like "Bayview" or "Seascape") is excellent for vacationing tourist. |
