| There are many positive things to say about the location, the decoration, cleanliness, the convience and walking distance to cannery row, the great views of the bay............the downside, terrible mattress on the bed, very small for two people over a long period of time, no hair dryer, no iron or ironing board, minimal seating...........one person had to sit on the bed so the other person could walk around otherwise you bumped into each other........The kitchen was fully equiped, having a telephone was convienent...ended up paying 60.00 extra dollars in parking tickets, because no accomodations are made for visitors..........the bathroom was the largest room, no bath mat, no full length mirror..........so if you are going to rent this location, a few days might be better than for two weeks at a time.........it is to long and gives you time to recognize that for a bit more money, you can rent a bit more space. |

We stayed in this rental one month. The apartment was very comfy and cozy with everything you need to get settled in.
There's a parking space for a rental car right in front.
The neighbors were friendly. The neighborhood safe.
You're next to Cannery Row - the Aquarium is just down the road. There's a great Nob Hill supermarket across the street. A bus stop right by the supermarket. A FedEx Kinko's just a block up the road if you need the Internet. A Long's Drug's nearby. The property management office is close, too, so that is convenient if you have questions or problems.
My only issues with Foam St were the noise at night from the business right next door and the lack of a mailbox for us to receive mail in. (We were actually hoping to relocate to Monterey, so we needed to be able to get mail. Most vacationers don't.)
I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in that part of New Monterey. |
