Vacation Rental Description
The apartments at The Lighthouse Villas are comfortably and tastefully appointed with thoughtful attention to detail. These cozy accommodations of approximately 800 square feet will accommodate you and up to three of your family and friends in two bedrooms and one bath. Unit 4 is located on the second level. The two-bedroom apartments at the Lighthouse Villas are all flats, and you may select from a ground floor dwelling or one on the second level. The ground level apartment features a private patio off the living room where you can enjoy your morning coffee and a newspaper. The upstairs apartments each have a private deck with peeks of the bay through the black oaks. The living room features a gas fireplace that lights at the touch of a button, providing instant atmosphere. Cable television service with DVD player is provided, as is high speed internet access. All bedrooms are furnished with a queen bed, flanked by reading lamps (for when you just can’t put that book down!), a clock radio and local telephone service, as well as cable television on flat screen TVs. The bath is equipped with a shower over tub.
A separate laundry room with a coin-operated washer and dryer is on the premises for your convenience. The carport is conveniently located to the apartment entrance, making handling groceries and luggage a snap!
The climate in Pacific Grove never gets warm enough to warrant air conditioning, and there are plenty of large windows in this property to invite in the refreshing ocean breezes. Each apartment is heated by thermostatically controlled electric baseboard heat during the few days per year that you may want it. The Lighthouse Villas feature open floor plans, with the living areas and dining areas flowing easily into the well-equipped kitchens. Meal preparation is easy with a multitude of both large and small appliances, including dishwasher and disposal, ample cookware, and dinner service!
The Lighthouse Villas are a great place to do absolutely nothing. The peaceful ambiance provided by these apartments offer the rationale for doing nothing for as long as you want, completely without guilt! Slow down, take a break, unwind, loosen up, chill out, put your feet up. And when you are as relaxed as you can possibly get, the Lighthouse Villas are a terrific place from which to do just about everything. Play golf at the oceanside Pacific Grove Golf Course, affectionately known locally as a budget-minded alternative to Pebble Beach. Or choose a walk on the coastal recreation trail, just a ten-minute stroll from your front door.
Pacific Grove is convenient to an amazing range of activities on the Monterey Peninsula. Just a few minutes’ drive will have you kayaking the Monterey Bay, touring scenic 17-Mile Drive, hiking the trails to secluded beaches of Big Sur, horseback riding, deep-sea fishing and whale watching. The shops and restaurants of downtown Pacific Grove are just a short walk from the complex. Or for an even more varied dining experience, a longer walk or a short drive will take you to Cannery Row, Fisherman’s Wharf, downtown Monterey or to Ocean Avenue in Carmel.

| We spent a very pleasant six weeks here this winter. Everything was as advertised with no surprises. The rental staff were pleasant. Our deposit was returned within the specified time period. The internet connection worked well. The beds were comfortable. There were more than enough linens, blankets and towels. The rooms are well lit so it's good for reading. The water in the shower was always hot. We cooked most of our own meals and the kitchen was sufficiently well equipped. It's a great location. It's a ten minute walk to the ocean, a few minutes drive to the golf course and a fifteen minute drive to most places in Monterey or Carmel. The surrounding neighborhood is pleasant to walk in. Several grocery stores are within two miles. The exterior walls are not insulated so you do hear the traffic noise, but it isn't heavy. The bedrooms in this unit are above the car port that you share with one neighbor, so if that neighbor leaves early, you will hear them. |
