Vacation Rental Description
"Old Tahoe" charm abounds in this great 5 bedroom cabin. The spacious living room with game table is a perfect gathering spot for families, in addition to the back deck which features a gas barbeque and private hot tub. And the location is unbeatable... 1/2 mile to Heavenly or the nearest public beach and only 1.5 miles to the Stateline casino area. This cabin is also walking distance to a few of South Shore's most popular dining spots and watering holes. Can we say spacious? This is a great option for larger groups looking for a true mountain cabin experience. The large rock-walled, wood-burning fireplace is the focal point of the 35 ft. living room area, set up with new oversized furniture and a table for playing cards. "Half-log" stairs invite you upstairs to a lovely wooden floor leading you to the front room with a 4-poster queen-sized bed and small balcony. Three more bedrooms are upstairs; two with queen beds and the third with 4 twin beds. The fifth bedroom on the main floor has 1 bunk bed set and a nice table on which to browse the internet or work, away from the crowd. Did we mention wireless, high-speed internet access? The kitchen has been updated which includes a lovely tile floor that extends to the dining room. The living room also features a 27 inch TV, VCR and DVD player. There is a 2nd TV/VCR in one of the bedrooms. The fenced back yard provides privacy for the hot tub and barbeque area. There is also a washer/dryer and mudroom for wet snow clothes or swimsuits. There is parking for 4 cars in the driveway adjacent to the cabin.

| We've stayed here for past 6 years and love it. This time around we noticed clean drapes, carpet, replaced bedding, curtains,clean couch, and additional mirrors (loft area)Maintenance: Downstairs shower seemed to be plugged. Front porch needs porchlite (when it is dark cannot see the family (as long as we can do so) will keep coming back. |

| Our group ended up smaller than we thought, but we did fully enjoy the Birch house. It's location was wonderful and we walked to dinner 2 nights! |

| Thank you for having such a wonderful house. There are some thresholds that should be fixed but that is coming from someone who works in the flooring industry. My eyes look down at what I can fix. One suggestions, we did use the high chairs but a portable crib might attract more familys to the house. Just a thought |

| The Birch Cabin was the best place I've ever stayed at on a ski trip. The house was spacious and had some great amenities (washer/ dryer, mud room, hot-tub, etc.). The location could not have been better as it was walking distance to almost everything we needed. Our group is seriously considering coming back to the Birch Cabin next year. |

| Overall, the property is in a very convenient location. Some of the furniture should be cleaned or replaced. Drapes need some cleaning. Carpets need some cleaning. Kitchen facilities are great.Everything is there.Could use a night light in the downstairs bathroom because of the step down. (we just left the light open). The upstairs bathroom could use a different toilet seat (it seemed too small. Thank you for adding the door mirror in the loft room. The place is very open and is great for a big group to enjoy each others company. |

| Gave the management a list of some problems; gas bar-b-q not working properly and dangerous (flames from bottom almost burned my son's hand); cables missing from dvd/vcr players. They didn't seem too concerned or want to hear about it. Even with that our family absolutely had a great time. |

| Great place to stay, great time. One word of advice - if it's winter, make sure you have the right kind of ride. If we hand'ta rented a 4-wheel drive, we woulda been stuck (which I guess might not have been that bad...) |
