Vacation Rental Description
Newer home centrally-located in the quaint town of Duck. Unique shops, restaurants favored by locals, water sports and other attractions are just across the street from 6 bedroom, 5 ½ bath Mallards Landing. This well-maintained home features views of the Albemarle Sound and a private in ground swimming pool. Relax in the hot tubor on the hammock swing. Gas and charcoal grills, baby equipment, basketball goal, bicycles [Duck is filled with walking/biking trails], recreation room with wet bar, pool table and plasma TV make this home the perfect spot for a family vacation. Mallards Landing is just a short bike ride [approximately 6 minutes] to the beach.
Ground level: Game room with billiards, kitchenette and plasma TV, access to pool area, King master suite.
Level one: King master suite, Queen master suite, bedroom with pyramid bunk, bedroom with two twins, full bath and small sitting area
Level two: Living area, kitchen, dining area, loft with table and chairs, King master suite with jetted tub and multiple decks
Duck Community Information- Lifeguard Stations are located at Sprigtail Drive, Barrier Island Station, Schooner Ridge Drive, Four Seasons Subdivision, and Plover Drive- Dogs are allowed on Duck's beaches year-round. - There is no public beach or sound access within the Town limits. Access to the sound and Duck's town beaches is limited to residents, renters, and their guests.

Beautiful Home - Quiet & Perfect Location |

This home was absolutely gorgeous! The house was very clean and the decor was just our style, which made us feel right at home. The face that it was a dog-friendly home was definitely a bonus. We were able to bring our golden retriever along on the trip, which saved us hundreds of dollars on a kennel. The elevator in the home was a pleasant surprise and extremely helpful because our dog has bad hips...didn't need to bother with the stairs!
All amenities were very clean and in working order (pool and hot-tub included).
Another plus was the house was well within walking distance to shopping and restaurants.
The only negative aspect of our location was the access to the beach. The house is ocean-side, not ocean-front, so it was hard to get to the beach if you didn't want to pack up the car and head to the public beach access.
Overall, however, we were VERY pleased with our stay and would most certainly stay there again and again! |

We spent a week at this beautiful home in the quaint town of Duck, NC. The house has 5 Master Suites, which was perfect for our group. We also enjoyed the pool, hot tub & pool table. There were 4 bikes at the house, and we used them to ride in to town several times. The house is close to many restaurants and shops, as well as a nice little farm stand with fresh fruit & vegetables.
We did have some trouble finding public beach access, and it was not within walking distance to the house, so we had to drive because of the children and all our beach gear. We also we had some trouble lighting the grill, but the kitchen is very well-equipt - it even has 2 dishwashers, which was great for our large group!
We can't wait for our next OBX vacation in this beautiful home! Enjoy!
