| We had a wonderful experience. The cabin was beautiful, extremely clean and full of water related relaxation. The staff was very helpful. We were only there Saturday and Sunday night. When we had a problem with the fireplace the management came out on a Sunday to fix it. When he couldn't he called out his "fireplace guy" who was also willing to come out on a Sunday and get the job done. All told they were in and out in 20 mins. The only complaint I have is that we couldn't get any warm water from the two-person shower (this wasn't a problem in the jacuzzi or the faucets). The view was beautiful. Just so you know, there is a cabin next door that can "see" the deck (and perhaps the hot tub) - except for that it feels quite private. Perhaps the strongest statement I can make as to how nice our stay was is that on the way out of town we were grabbing real-estate literature and looking for places we could work in the region. |

| What an amazing time!! We spent 4 days with Great Cabins in the Smokies and the experience was perfect from begining to end. We were celebrating my 30th birthday and when we arrived, it was absolutely amazing--EVEN BETTER THAN THE PICTURES ON THE SITE!! The cabin was clean, it was private, and has all the modern conveniences of home. We had the in cabin 1 hour massages--WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!! It was amazing!! We recommend Great Cabins many times over--it was a very romantic experience and one that we hope to repeat sometime in the future! |

Great Cabins in the Smokies offered the best customer service. They were the only company that returned my phone call. Making the reservation was painless, and their polcies are not as restrictive or have as many conditions attached as most of the places I researched in the area. The cabin was absolutely wonderful!! I could not have asked for a better stay. The cabin was extremely clean and comfortable.
I would recommend the Rendezview to anyone seeking R&R and a romatic setting.

I am glad that you sent me an e-mail to ask for my thoughts. I was somewhat disappointed.
1. I thought the cabin was not dusted thoroughly. There was dust on the lamps, wood work, floral arrangements, etc. It was enough to make my husband and I sneeze and allergies flared.
2. The shower temperature was not warm enough. Turned up to fully hot it was just warm enough to get by.
3. I did happen to leave behind my personal pillow in my pillow case. Did the cleaning personnel report this?
4. There is a short in the air hockey table and we were not able to use this. |

Manager Response: September 30, 2009 |
Jan,
We saw from the comment card that you left upon departure that the air hockey table needs to be repaired. We have already ordered the repair and will have that fixed within a few days.
We were very sorry to hear that you were disappointed and really wish you had contacted us at the office while you were here. We could have and would have tried to correct most of these minor issues for you. We mean it when we promise to do all we can to make sure your stay is the best it can be - but we can't correct problems until we know about them. I will inquire about your pillow but, again, we can do a much better job of tracking down personal items if we are notified promptly of them.
Thanks again for choosing to stay with us and we hope you will give us another opportunity to prove that we really do take care of our guests! |

| Beautiful, serene, and romantic. We stayed 6 nights and had a wonderful vacation. Few minor inconveniences we had: No internet access, unable to change the speeds on the fans, 2 scorpions found in our cabin. Also local phone book would be a nice addition. Also living sofa was very uncomfortable for sitting. But otherwise the cabin was great-we felt very safe and the office staff was great. |

We stayed at this cabine for our honeymoon and once we got there it was an incredible experience. There are 7 cabins around the area but all are private. They have all the amenties you need to stay very relaxed for a week.
The only suggestion I would have is to call the office and ask for more specfic directions if you are coming after nightfall. It is quite dark and roads are not always easy to find. There is an afterhours host if you do get lost so don't be afraid to call. They were also very helpful to us.
If there are any problems staff will come out immediately and fix them. We stayed a week and asked for our hottub to be drained and refilled, they were there on the spot doing this for us so it was clean and fresh.
We had such a good time that I am sure we will be back either by ourselves or as a family vacation in one of the larger cabins.
I would highly recommend any of the Great Cabins homes because they are really that, GREAT CABINS!!! |

| My boyfriend and I stayed in this romantic quiet cabin for 2 nights in February. This cabin was above and beyond expectation. Of course my favorite part of the cabin was the bathroom since it is so big with a fireplace and the double showers made it very romantic. My boyfriend really enjoyed the hot tub on the patio. I would suggest couples experiencing this cabin instead of a family trip. There are many cliffs off the mountains and you would not want to be worried your entire trip if the kids go outside. The air hockey table was nice except the chips need to be replaced because it constantly stops on the table due to the wear and tear on the chips. I was surprised to see a sauna up stairs as well-very nice. The entire cabin heats up nicely with the fireplaces. I would like to have a gas grill with the option of a charcoal grill. I thought the cabin had a gas grill thats why I didn't buy any charcoal but I ended up cooking the steaks in the oven. This location is not far from Pigeon Forge where everything is going on. Oh by the way very important do not use your GPS system going to the cabins just follow the directions they provide because the GPS system took us in the mountains the entire time going 35mph due to the narrow roads and curves instead of the highway. On our way back we followed the directions provided to us and it was much better. This cabin is modern with new appliances, romantic and perfect view all in one you have to experience this cabin. Next time when we go we may bring family with their children so we may choose another location but when it's just the two of us we will be choosing RENDEZVIEW :) |

When we walked in, I gazed around at all the comforts it had to offer. I couldn't believe it because I had never set foot in this cabin before but it emediatly felt like home. I definately recommend this to everyone. I just could not see how anyone could possibly be unpleased with this wonderful place. I will be returning very soon! |

| This was a wonderful new log cabin that was in a great location and quite secluded considering there were only 7 cabins on the property. Late May was a beautiful time to visit the area. The cabin was clean and beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay here. The only caution for staying at this property is that you need to be a skilled motorcycle rider to access the cabin. The roads are paved but steep and there is a key-coded gate that is on a steep grade. We probably would have chosen a different location only due to something with a little better motorcycle access. Loved the cabin though! |

My wife and I spent 4 nights at the beautiful cabin Rendezview for our honeymoon. We found it to be very romantic and extremely quiet. We were away from the major roads and could see the beautiful sunrise over the mountains right off of the deck. We found all of the people extremely friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed being close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It was a close commute to the stores and restaurants, not to mention the Smokey Mountain Nation Park!
We would highly recommend this cabin and would encourage spending a beautiful vacation there, whether it be for a honeymoon or a family vacation. |

We enjoyed a relaxing weekend in this luxury cabin. It was as beautiful and luxurious as the pictures portrayed. It had a large kitchen, huge bathroom and beautiful porch with rockers to enjoy the scenery. It is a great location where you can easily get into the Smoky Mountains without going through all the congestion of Pigeon Forge; but also very close to Pigeon Forge if you want to go there. The people in the office were very accommodating when we wanted to stay an extra day at the last minute.
We will definitely rent this cabin again! |

My family and I spent a wonderful week during Thanksgiving at this cozy cottage in Wears Valley located in the Great Smokey Mountains and had a wonderful time. This is the first time we stayed in a vacation rental home instead of a hotel -- and it was perfect. The cabin was in close proximity(minutes) to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. There are so many things to do and see in these wonderful cities.
Upon arriving we stopped by the office and picked up our key codes from the property manager, and drove right to the cabin. The cabin is located way off a road in a very secluded, quiet gated community. You must have a code to get into the gate. Everything was in order when we arrived, and we were pleased to learn the pictures online matched the home. It's actually nicer than the pictures!
We cooked, the kitchen has very modern appliances and is equipped with all the essentials. The cabin's master bedroom in very nice with a large bathroom. There is a loft upstairs with a fold out sofa. Located upstairs is a small sauna along with an air hockey table for the children to enjoy. There is also a video game system upstairs. The cabin has three television sets. On an outside deck there is a jacuzzi hot tub for you to enjoy.
We'd definitely recommend this cabin - whether you are bringing children or just want to get away on a romantic vacation. If you want to spend your vacation in the Great Smokey Mountains, Rendenview is the cabin for you. Enjoy! |
