We discovered the Iron Horse Report on line. The acccomodations were wonderful (spacious). The balcony was an added plus, though it was cold. The gas fireplace was also a plus.
The staff were very responsive and accomodating. Beautiful facility.
We would gladly stay at the Iron Horse if we retuned to the Rockies.

| Iron Horse Resort is situated in the middle of pine trees, away from the busy ski village area of Winter Park - which makes it a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of skiers. We stayed in a one-bedroom, 5th floor condo that was spacious, clean, and fully stocked with all the amenities of a real home. The interior design was very well done - beautiful granite countertops in the kitchen and bathroom, comfortable bed, couch, and rocking chair, and wood furniture that captured the feeling of living in the mountains. I also especially liked having a balcony overlooking the resort area. I used the fitness center, which was spacious and equipped with cardio and weight equipment - although there could have been a few more cardio pieces for those times when more people may be using them. The only downfall was the relative absence of staff at the front desk, especially in the morning. The doors to the lobby from the interior of the resort were locked in the morning so I was unable to work out early. But this was probably due to the off-peak time of year we stayed there. Overall, we had a great experience. |

| I was able to view and book the type of room I wanted on line. The home we rented looked just like the pictures. It was beautiful and so well decorated. We arrived after the front desk hours, but had no problem with our welcome packet. The room had all the amenities we wanted, including full kitchen and fireplace. We loved the heated pool and hot tubs. The location to activities in Winterpark and Fraser Valley is great. The only negative was their restaurant was closed for the season. Awesome place to stay |

Great place to stay with friendly staff and got to check in early. Walked right over to Winter Park Resort within minutes with all my kids and a running stroller. Pool was warm and hot tubs felt great on tired bones. Tidy and neat room, but fireplace pilot light kept us a little warm. Great place to stay!

My family and I had a great time staying at the Iron Horse resort. We enjoyed being so close to Winter Park ski resort. It was nice to have a kitchen to prepare our own meals. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. It would have been better if more of the pool was indoors.
We stayed there because we had gotten a good deal on the one bedroom rental. We would not have been able to stay there if the rate was the regular peak season rate.
The coffee/tea/hot chocolate was fantastic! Nice to get really good coffee in the morning. |

Perfect Place |

The Iron Horse was perfect for skiing. It has everything, and is right on the mountain, which allowed us to stop in at lunch time to warm up, change clothes, etc. The price was extremely reasonable, the ski shop is right in the hotel, and there is great parking as well.
There was absolutely nothing that I would change. Perhaps they could keep the indoor/outdoor pool a tad warmer, but beyond that, it was the perfect place for a family (or a romantic) ski vacation. We definitely will go back next year. (The mountain is great too.) |

This was the 7th or 8th year of us staying with Iron Horse Resorts, The staff is on a first name basics and on the most part everyone there is so friendly and can tell it is important to them that you are please with your stay there at the Iron Horse...
we were a little unsatisfied witht he housekeeping this time....
When we irrived there was a glass out on the deck/patio full of cigerette buds and we are none smokers and on the day of house keeping it was still out there up until we left... House keeping has always been really great.... Carla is wonderful and friendly... We didn't get to see her this time but house keeping did nothing but put towels in our Condo this time on Friday and that was it...Front Desk and reservations are Wonderful, as maintanence and everyone there.... We love it and will continue to stay there...The snow was WONDERFUL!!!!! |

We enjoyed our stay. Clean and up to date.
It was refreshing to visit the place I grew up - I moved away from Winter Park exactly 40 years ago.
Pool and hot tubs were ideal and my child numerous trips to use them.
I have and will be recommending to my friends |
