this townhouse is beautifully located near four pools and the ocean. However, the owner did not provide the basics and the few skillets she left were dangerous to use...the hottub did not work as the drain leaked, the gas grill was perfectly awful and no gas was provided...ad said it was...doorbell did not work, land line kept failing, minimal hot water, no kitchen knifes, wine glasses, broken coffee pot. The housekeeping staff did their job and the house was clean but the essential shape is awful and has not seen a paint brush in years! The real estate staff were very pleasant and helpful but I was told they never checked the condition of the house before the rented it and according to the real estate laws of the state of SC you must check out a property before renting/leasing out. We rented this property with two other couples for a four-day stay. The occasion? A friend's daughter's wedding with both the reception and the after-rehearsal party on Debordieu. Our location was perfect. The condo was attractive and clean. Our only complaint was the sparcity of kitchen utensils- good knives for cutting fruit, etc. Also there were only token supplies for washing dishes, paper towels, soap, etc. Much less offered than at most comparable properties. We were forced to do more than usual at the grocery store-- toilet paper, etc. But-- if you are willing to put up with this, the property will make up for the inconvenience and additional cost of equipping it for a week's stay.
