The service was good. We had 8 adults staying at the house, so there was more than enough room. The house is very nice and maintained pretty well. The pool right outside was very good, and since we had all adults, really appreciated the fact that no one under 14 was allowed in the pool. We have stayed at numerous beach houses in Port Aransas and this by far was the nicest one. While the location is good, the board walk to the beach was a bit farther than we expected.....it wasn't bad, but far enough you wouldn't want to make many trips a day. It was a little disappointing that you could only see a little bit of the ocean from the balconies. We loved Dreamsicle. It was beautiful, spacious, and had everything we needed. The management was very easy to work with. I made the reservation in October 2008 for our trip in July 2009. We arrived and immediately checked-in and began our vacation with no hassle. This was our first trip to Port Aransas. For 18 years we had our family beach trip in Crystal Beach, but Ike destroyed the house we always rented. The beach and water is nicer in Port A and the house was bigger so that was great. The part I liked the least was the walk to the beach as we were spoiled with our house being right on the beach before. But that was not a big deal. Our family of eighteen had our reunion in Port A in June of 2009 and were fortunate enough to be able to stay at beautiful and well-appointed Dreamsicle. Its spacious floor plan was perfect for our large group, and there was plenty of space for our eight kids to spread out and be kids. It is a short and pleasant walk to the beach and the porch off the back is a wonderful place to enjoy the coastal breezes. We did lots and lots of cooking while we were there, and the kitchen was ample in size and in great proximity to the living space. The laundry, outdoor water spickets and outdoor shower helped make it a breeze to clean up. We LOVED our time here. We will definitely plan on visiting here again! More...

There were 13 of us from four states and we all agreed that it was a great house. There were only a few things that we think need changing. First, there were only two deck chairs for 13 people. A house as expensive as this was should have had plenty of chairs on the deck. Second, the sofa bed rated a "poor" for sleeping comfort and since ALL the other beds were very comfortable. Third, this house was the price of an expensive hotel, so I don't understand why we had to provide our own toilet paper and Kleenex. One roll per bathroom does not last long with that many people. Fourth, even though we could wash them, having one towel per person for six days was a problem.
Lastly, I would like to see a list of things we need to bring and/or is suggested we bring (more toilet paper, facial tissues, paper towels, additional hand soap, etc.)
On the whole, we loved the house and had a great time. More...
