Vacation Rental Description
"Ready River Cabin" is located in Christmas Valley which is located on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe. This charming cabin is surrounded on three sides by the Upper Truckee River and is nestled amidst the forest in a very quiet neighborhood. It is approximately 10 miles from the casinos at the state line, and the nearest ski resort would be Heavenly being only a 15 minute drive away, Sierra-at-Tahoe which is approximately 20 mintues away, or Kirkwood being approximately 30 minutes away. This darling cabin has two kitchens: 1 regular full kitchen, and the other has an indoor Gen-Air grill, dishwasher and sink along with a bar and stools looking out over the river. The back deck has a hot tub and lets out onto a large back yard.

We loved the home last year! Perfect for our group of eight...however, this year when our married kids arrived, the room they were to stay in had a hugh pile of "throw up" beside their bed! Very discusting! The owner of the rental company was kind enough to come over immediately and clean up the "dried mess". We washed all of our sheets. The bed we sleep in did not have a mattress pad and the hot tub smelled live a hot bubbling caldron of chemicals. The place is tired and needs a good cleaning...cobwebs, drawers in kitchen "sticky" and very questionable cleaning on just about everything. We loved it last year but won't return in 2009):
Hopefully with some improvements the place will be better in the future. We also brought our own shower head and used it while we were there. Thank you, Caroline Carter |
