"Al Tahoe Pines" is located in the heart of South Lake Tahoe approximately 2 miles from the casinos at the state line and Heavenly Ski Resort. It is within walking distance of the lake, restaurants, a supermarket [Safeway], and public transit [BlueGO].
This deluxe, completely remodeled 1,325 square foot home is nestled in a quiet wooded neighborhood adjacent to a public golf course with great mountain views. The house’s redwood paneled spa room features a full wall of windows giving onto a large deck via French doors. Flanked by birch and fir trees, the deck is furnished with a propane grill, two large round wood tables, and chairs and benches to seat 12. It overlooks a spacious yard perfect for snow play in the winter and lawn games in the summer.
The house is equipped with wireless Internet. The living room entertainment center includes a 50-inch plasma screen television, surround sound, satellite TV [Dish Network], Xbox and Playstation2 game systems [with assorted games available for guest use], and DVD player and VCR units [with numerous discs and tapes available for guest use, including many children’s tapes]. The master bedroom is equipped with a 24-inch TV with integrated VCR and DVD-player. For beach or fireside reading, the house’s library offers more than 500 mysteries, thrillers, biographies, and children’s books, as well as an archive of hundreds of car, boat, science, and other special interest magazines. And numerous puzzles and kids’ games will delight younger guests.
For winter warmth, the living room offers an inviting brick and slate wood-burning fireplace; down comforters top each bed. Knotty pine cabinetry and furniture, and pine accents throughout add to the cabin’s cozy mountain retreat feel.
Equipped for entertaining, the brand new kitchen features an island with five-burner gas range and a raised bar and stools, in addition to the customary double oven, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. The kitchen is fully outfitted for gourmet meal preparation, offering all manner of cooking utensils and small appliances, including Cuisinart food processor/blender, coffee maker, and toaster.
Deep redwood-hued natural-finish tile lines the clear glass-rimmed shower in the master bath and the shower/bathtub in the hall bathroom. A lighted magnifying mirror has been installed in the hall bathroom.
