Vasquez Trail retreat

We stayed at Vasquez trail retreat, which was nice. It seemed to have everything we thought it would.

We were disappointed with the customer service over the phone. When i made the reservation the person setting it up really couldn't answer a lot of my questions and made several mistakes on my reservation. I had to talk to another person to resolve this, which they did.

Once we arrived we had some questions, so we called the number on the activities map that was in the home. The people that helped us didn't seem to know anything about the activities and couldn't even answer questions regarding how the free shuttle works even though it was part of the highlights of the home. We had several different questions on activities and they couldn't answer a single question and didn't even have a general 'cookie cutter' answer that they were supposed to give. Very disapointing.

Fabulous vacation home

We had a great stay @ Vasquez Trail Retreat. There was plenty of space for 16 people, the kitchen was well supplied & the towel exchange was much appreciated. The check-in staff was great & when we woke up to fresh snow the driveway was already cleared. We hope to return next year. More...

Wannabee Racing Dream Vacation!

A group of 6 mountain bike racers and their families rented this awesome house for the national bike race. We had 16 people staying in the house. The house was great size wise so we never felt claustrophobic. We enjoyed the ping pong table, hot tub, fire pit and grill. The decor was stellar and housekeeping kept up stocked up on towels and needed supplies daily.
The house is located in Winter Park and within walking distance to great shops. Was a short drive from the Sol Vista Basin ski area where the national bike race was held. There are great walking/hiking trails and endless mountain biking options right from the front door!
There were a few things that needed fixing: the sofa bed was broken (we jimmied it up for the week so no complaints) and the ice machine was full when we arrived but didn't make more ice during our stay. These two were things that we easily worked around and didn't take away from our fun. We will surely look to Alpine Resort and The Vasquez Trail Retreat for our next Winter Park stay. This week made me realize that Winter Park is fun even in the SUMMER!
