Well maintained but needs updating |

| Staff were great;friendly and professional. We had no maintenance problems with the house during our stay and it was very clean. We liked the layout, construction and location very much; it's really a very comfortable, warm space and even though it's a duplex it has the feel of a detached home. We enjoyed seeing elk and deer right outside the windows! However, what bothered me was not so much the outdated furniture but their condition-worn and dirty-looking upholstery and the couch is breaking down so you need to be careful when sitting. I know the owners are considering remodeling the kitchen, which is needed, but the master bath is also a problem. It can be a little difficult getting safely out of the shower given the width of the tub surround and its depth. And what is that unfinished space next to the guest bathroom? Finally, we had difficulty getting the wood to burn, even with the starter provided. We would have cut kindling but could not find an axe. We ended up getting processed logs in town. |

Wonderful stay in the mountains |

| We found this property very much to our liking--three old guys who enjoy day hiking. It had all the comforts of home including an excellent equipped kitchen of which we took advantage. It was clean and very pleasant and more than suited our needs. The property is conveniently located to the Beaver Meadow Entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Each afternoon we enjoyed watching the elk come through the front yard. If I visit Rocky Mountain National Park again and need a place to stay, it will be at the Windcliff. The staff at Windcliff is first class. While this property did not have a gas grill, they provided us with a loaner. |

Lovely, Comfortable, Great Location |

This is a lovely house, set high up on the mountain with great views. Very spacious, well appointed, and very comfortable. I was recovering from a broken neck and found it peaceful, quiet and comforting.
The Windcliff website is easy to navigate and is filled with a ton of information, lots of pictures and is excellent.
We've stayed in many houses at Windcliff over the years and think it is the best place to stay in Estes Park! We've never been disappointed, felt the price was right on and really a bargain and highly recommend them.

Not the best of Windcliff |

We have been coming to Windcliff for years, and have stayed at many
different properties. We like some more than others, but have loved
the view of the mountains from each one...until this time. Because the
home is surrounded by mature trees, the view is quite obstructed.
Granted, the view is perhaps more important to us than others, but if it
is important, this is not the place for you. Everything else was fine,
including the always-helpful staff. We will continue coming back to
Windcliff but will choose another lovely home...with an unobstructed
view. |

Manager Response: January 15, 2009 |
Thanks very much for your comments, and we look forward to your next Windcliff visit.
This home enjoys privacy and seclusion as well as great views and is located with both the National Forest and the National Park at its doorstep. This part of our mountain location is indeed more forested including some beautiful stands of aspens. We make sure to include photographs of the home and its views so that our guests can make an informed decision about whether it is the "right" home for them. |

| Myself and three girlfriends stayed here for a weekend and had SUCH a great time! The house was gorgeous, in the most incredible location (better than any other of the cabins in Estes), and very reasonably priced! I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat! |

Comfortably furnished. Quiet. Great views. Wood burning fireplace in living room. There were elk grazing just outside the window some mornings. Excellent location for daily hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Adams.
The drive to Adams from the main road is over a well maintained but sometimes steep and relatively long gravel road. This access won't encourage frequent trips into town to pick up a quart of milk but you'll be well away from any traffic sounds. |
