The service from Windcliff Properties was great.
The home was OK and had the most beautiful view you could imagine. As far as the location it was very high on the hill and we were not accustom to the light air and had trouble sleeping the first few nights. Also there was a lot of wind (windcliff) and that also kept us from sleeping.
The house had everything you would need for cooking and eating.
The weather was warm the first few days and then a cold front came in and we got to see snow on the mountains which was great.
There was a lot of deer and elk around the house several times and we got to enjoy that.
We probably, the LORD willing, will be back but maybe a little lower on the hill.

| Cole was quiet and peaceful, which was just what we were looking for. The windows in all the rooms made for great views. The kitchen was fully equipped with diswashing liquid, paper towels, coffee filters, dish towels etc. Windcliff is only a few minutes from the entrance the park. Best hiking we have had in several years. The staff at the office were extremely pleasant. |

| The stay was good but the initial checking in was not. Someone forgot to leave the key outside as we checked in late. It was dusk. We knew where our condo was as a friend had given us a map. We went up to the condo and did not find a key there either. We called the emergency pager number for almost two hours and left our number when prompted. No one ever called us back. By that time it was too dark to go back down the unfamiliar mountain. We ended up staying in the guest bedroom of the renter below our condo. Hs was very gracious but we felt we were an intrusion on his time away from work and home. The rest of the trip was very nice. The office people felt terrible and said it had never happened before. They compensated both us and the renter we stayed with. We would recommend it to others. |

The home was as described. We have stayed in this home many times before, so we knew what to expect. My parents are former owners.
We appreciated being able to use the gas grill on the porch. We did not locate the hummingbird feeders that were mentioned in the instruction book in the house. It seemed to be a bit out of date in a number of respects.
The view is still spectacular, and we recommend Windcliff to others. |

1)The sofa bed was not usable as there was no cushion, only springs in the thin mattress.
2)The door to the deck from the living room could not be closed or locked.
3)The chair in the master bedroom, in front of the computer table was broken.
4)In master bathroom, the sink water handle is very tight and the shower/tub drainage was very slow.
5)In the other bathroom, one of the water handles is loose.
Otherwise, the house and kitchen are well appointed and the view is great. |

Wonderful Views! |

From the moment that I walked into the Cole, I loved it! The house was very neat and very bright! The pictures on the website do not do this house justice. It is much better in person. The house had all of the items I had needed while I was there. The only problem that I had with the house was the musty smell when I first got there. I imagine it was from the house being closed up for a while. I opened the windows and let some of the cool mountain air in. The house was fine after that.
The views of the mountains from every room were spectacular! I spent a lot of time just looking out the windows. I was able to see an amazing number of stars at night right up until the full moon came over the mountains! It snowed while I was there and that was just icing to an already spectacular experience. I cannot express the views! They alone were worth the trip!
The drive up the mountain was not as bad as I had envisioned it would be. My most favorite part was waking up in the morning to the view of the mountains. That was wonderful! I would recommend this house. I absolutely loved it and am planning my trip for 2010. It was a wonderful experience! |

I've stayed at a different property in Windcliff with my husband, and
this was a return visit for me to have a personal retreat. It was a
perfect place for me to be alone and secluded, yet feel safe within
walking distance to hiking. The views are absolutely beautiful from
every living room and bedroom, so I could sit anywhere or wake up
and look out at the mountains. Snowstorms moved in and out while I
sat perched looking out from my warm chair. It'd be a great place to
bring friends or my family for a getaway or holiday in a unique
location. |

As always our stay at Windcliff was wonderful. We have stayed in the "Cole" house several times and it has always met all of our expectations. We love to be high on the mountain and Cole affords wonderful views.
As long time Windcliff fans, [we have stayed in several Windcliff homes] we can't say enough good things about the office staff and housekeeping staff. They always make your stay the best. See you next summer... |

This was our second vacation staying in the Cole and we would definitely recommend it.
The house is well stocked, comfortable and well maintained. The only issue we have is with the roller blinds and I'm sure it is us and not the blinds - we can't seem to get the hang of them, it takes us 2 or 3 (or 6 or 7) tries to get them to go up.
One morning we woke up to find elk bugling right below our deck! You cannot beat the view of the mountains from this property- it is beautiful!
We were sorry to see that it was for sale; hopefully any new owners will continue to rent it out. |

| We absolutely loved our getaway in Estes Park at "Cole!" They had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation and the views from the condo were breathtaking! We arrived after dark, and the next morning I walked out into the family room to see an amazing view of the Rockies! I appreciated the Windcliff staff - they even allowed us to borrow a high chair and pack-n-play for our daughter. I would highly recommend Cole for an Estes Park getaway. |
