Guest Reviews for K3-KR A16

Great Unit
We came to Hawaii to compete in the Ironman and enjoy a family vacation. If
you want a spectacular view, great location to Kona and a clean family friendly
unit, then this is the one.
We hope to be back there as soon as possible. Abbey rentals was great
providing everything they said they would. More...

Great Accommodations
Overall we were quite impressed with the unit and the facilities. It is a nice, clean, well kept unit. Only drawback is the lack of cleaning supplies. Since we were there for 2 weeks, we would have appreciated not having to buy such things as toilet cleaner, or glass cleaner etc. How much would it cost to have these on hand? Any issues we ran into were quickly addressed. View was great. More...

Will rent again
A number of updates have been made since we last stayed in this unit. It was clean, bright, and comfortable. The free wi-fi was new since the last stay. The location is fantastic - we walked to downtown Kailua Kona several times during our stay. We love the area and would stay at Kona Reef again in a heartbeat. We even had an easy time changing our reservations when we discovered a conflict. The folks at Abbey have been great to work with. More...

Great Hawaii Vacation
We stayed in Unit A16 at Kona Reef for 10 days and enjoyed it very much. The unit was large, beautifully decorated, clean, well equipped and very quiet and private. The website pictures were not misleading. We spent hours dining and relaxing on our lanai while watching surfers, whales, fishermen, parasailing, dolphins, and the continuous show of waves breaking on the rocks a few feet away. The air conditioner worked well on those hot days. The second floor location was ideal for a great view (and sound of breaking waves) while maintaining a sense of security
The Kona Reef complex was also very clean and well cared for, and the location was great. The pool, hot tub and surrounding gardens were very clean and quiet, and the indoor parking was a real bonus. It was only a short (and safe) walk to town for snacks, meals, shopping, etc, and Kailua is a busy little town. The short distance to the airport is also a plus after a long day of traveling.
Kona Reef might not be ideal for small children, but is perfect for retirees like us. The only negatives we can think of are the noisy fan and slow-draining tub in the bathroom. However, the bathroom was very clean and functional.
Abbey Vacation Rentals were very professional and friendly and we highly recommended them. They made it easy to set up and enjoy this vacation without the need for a travel agent.
