Abbey Vacation Rentals was amazing. They called to make sure that
everything was all right and if we had any questions.
We were evacuated because of the pending tsunami and again Amy at
Abbey Vacation Rentals called and made us aware. She told us what to do
and where to go. Friendly and not making us frightened.
The unit we stayed in was great as it has the golf gold card which we used
(except for the day we had to evacuate) and enjoyed. It made it a very good
deal for us.

Great location as you can walk to the stories.
I can't say what we liked least, but maybe it was being so close to the pool
(being on the terrace you overlook the pool and hear the kids) but that was
no problem.

We have stayed in this same unit (W5-FV L21) several times. It may be 5 times now. We love it, and do not have any serious suggestions for improvement. Two minor improvements.

1. Lubricate the sliding door so that it will move without so much force.
2. When the unit stands empty for an extended period the ice maker is a mess waiting to happen. The nozzle plugs, and when the door is opened there is ice everywhere. The last two years we have had to clean up the mess. However, since people check in after 4 pm, the day of their arrival it is necessary to have fresh ice.

We loved our stay. The place was perfect - clean, and exactly what it portrayed on the website (extra added goodies life sand toys and boogie boards in the closet too). The pool and bbq area was very nice, the condos were very clean. We have already recommended to other friends and they loved their stay also. More...

We very much enjoyed our rental and can recommend without hesitation.

POSITIVES: The condo is well located (within the resort), furnished, and maintained. Everything was as represented on the website. The golf privileges worked well despite the fact we forgot to give them 7-days notice; the folks there were very nice. Weather-wise, the resort is definitely on the right side of the island; we could see it raining on the east-side all week long, but we only had drizzle one day. No mosquitos!

NEGATIVES: If you are arriving after dark, bring a flashlight. Because of poor lighting, we had lot of trouble finding the right building and entering the codes to both the gate and the condo door. The resort has a lot to offer, but is isolated - at least 20-minutes from town. Depending on your point of view, this could be good or bad; you'll want a rental car. Golf courses are well maintained and run, but not terribly challenging, i.e., a "resort" course. More...
