Spacious close to Hilton Waikoloa
We enjoyed the condo. It was spacious and close to the Hilton Waikoloa - where we were attending a conference. The only problem was that the master bathroom's shower did not have hot water - lukewarm/room temperature at best. We called Abbey Rentals and they promptly sent over a handyman to fix it, but the water remained cool. More...

Great location
We stayed in Condo B201 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We found the area of Waikoloa to be exceptional. It was so close to 3 of the most beautiful beaches - Hapuna, A'Bay & Mauna Lani. Our son was only 3 when we went, so we would head to the beaches in the mornings, then to the condo for lunch, then head off to sightsee along the coast while he had his nap in the car. The drive up to Waimea and then along the coast was fantastic. Everyday we headed out to see all the Big Island had to offer. We toured the Pololu Valley, the Waipio Valley and then followed the rainforest drive through Laupahoehoe Bay to Hilo. From there we toured around Volcanoes National Park which was really cool and so different from the lushness of the north coast. It was also a short drive south to Kona, where we went on a snorkelling boat to Kealakekua Bay. We really took in all that the Big Island had to offer. The shopping area near the condo was good - especially the restaurant there. We shopped at the grocery store in Waikoloa village (6 miles away) and also over in Mauna Lani shopping area where they had a great organic supermarket with lots of fresh fish and roasted chicken for take-away. The condo was very nice -we spent lots of time on the balcony which overlooked the pool. The smaller bedroom worked well for our 3 yr old and the master bath was spacious. The only problems we seemed to have with the condo was the security gate at the entrance. It was a bit finicky and always took several tries before the gate would actually swing open. We would love to go back to the Big Island - it is a truly magical place. More...

perfect family vancation spot
this condo met and surpassed our expectations. it was exactly as described. teh landscaping at the condo complex was stunning and an unexpected bonus. was pool and two hot tubs (different temps to meet differnt preferences)were clean and in a bright sunny location..very pleasant. the proximity to shops and resaurants was a big plus for us and an amazing hotel complex right across the street was something we also took advantage of. we snorkeled in their lagoon and paid a day fee to check out their pool/water park. working with the people at abbey was also very pleasant. every employee i contacted was seemed genuinely interested in being helpful. mahalo to abbey and all the good poeple of hawaii that we encountered! Vista Waikoloa
Property was beautiful but the entire premises was overrun by cockroaches. Maintenance sprayed once but it didn't help. We couldn't use the kitchen to cook. All of our food had to be thrown out. It was very disappointing considering the amount of money we paid. More...
