I stayed at Antigua for a week right before Labor Day. The house was situated in a very nice location. Even though it was right on a beach, the water wasn't that clean (lots of boats and scooters). We wound up walking across the street to the beach which was very nice. A group of 8 of us were very comfortable in the house. While the area is not very touristy, we found everything we needed. Destin and Pensacola are both within 30 minutes.
One complaint: there was mold in the bathroom. I really wish someone had used Tilex to clean and disinfect it. Other than that, we had a great stay and wouldn't mind renting another property from Dale E. Peterson. More...

We loved the location, right on the water! The kiddos played in the sand while we ate on the patio. The house was clean and cold but with NO necessities (toilet paper, dish washing detergent etc.) a sample pack of each would have been nice. Opal Beach was beyond beautiful! We all got stung by jelly fish but LOVED the water! We'll be back next year! More...

What a great time I had staying at Antigua House. The accomodations were just what we were looking for. I was able to travel with my mother who used a wheelchair and we were able to accomodate for her particular needs. The pool was just right for us being able to wheel her over to the pool and beyond! A fantastic and relaxing trip!!! Thank you!

My husband and I visited Navarre back in 2004 and enjoyed it so much that we wanted to share the experience with our son and his family. We were very pleased with the Antigua House. It was clean and had plenty of room for the six of us. The only negative was that the queen size bed in the guest room was very hard and I would recommend bringing your own bedding or laundring the sheets on the bed when you arrive. That said, we would gladly rent this home again. The view was beautiful. We really enjoyed the deck in the evening, it was so peaceful. We really enjoy the property and location. It is very peaceful. We stayed there in 2008 and were very pleased, however, in 2009 we had some issues. The washer did not work, I called to complain, but no one came to fix it. Also it was not as clean as before. There were dirty dishes in the cupboard and a lot of dust! Worst of all, at the Navarre office, the front desk person was EXTREMELY rood to my husband when he informed them of a leak in the bathroom. Overall, it is a good place to vacation, I just hope they can fix some of the issues for next year.
