Located on the beautiful Okaloosa Island, The Destin West Beach and Bay Resort offers you the best of both worlds. The Gulf Side boasts a 5,000 sq. ft. gulf front lagoon style pool, kiddie pool, hot tub, fitness center, and bbq grills. The Bay Side shines with its 700 ft lazy river, central pool with waterfall, two oversized hot tubs, and bbq grills, all with a view of the Choctawhatchee Bay and a skywalk to the beach. Both Gulf Side and Bay Side have limited covered parking.DWP707 is a top floor Bay Side penthouse 2 bedroom, 2 bath. This unit sleeps 8 and has a King in the master bedroom, a Queen in the guest room, 2 Twins [bunk bed] in the bunkroom, and a queen size sofa sleeper in the living room. There are 4 TVs, 1 VCRs, 3 DVDs, stereo, and washer and dryer located in the unit. This unit has a virtual tour and welcomes monthly rentals.

Our family spent a week in Destin and thouroughly enjoyed our vacation home. It was conveniently located to the beach and when the kids, 3,4 and 8 y/o were tired of the sand we just swithched over to the lazy river and pools. We sat on our balcony with coffee in the morning and watched as tugboats moved the flat barges through the bay located behind the condo. We were even able to grill out one evening. We have rented property in Destin before but we will definetly stayed in Destin West again.

We returned to Destin West for the 3rd time in June of 2008. Our week in the Penthouse level condo was very nice with great views, comfortable furnishings and plenty of room for us to relax and enjoy our time away from the stresses of home.
I rented two other units here for co-workers and customers to join us for a weekend of fishing, hanging out by the pool and enjoying the night life located within easy walking distance of the resort.
We looked at other facilities while we were in town this time but did not find any that compared with the value we get at Destin West.
We always appreciate the friendly, helpful service we receive and will definetely be coming back here for years to come. |

| Everything about the penthouse was perfect, only small things missing ie:blender, extra pillows ect. and houskeeping brought any request quickly. Our only disapointments were no availablity of internet. AT ALL. The property advertises internet, we wouldn't have minded to pay for it either. Also the pools ( all pools) were frigid. Those "heated" pools were the #1 reason that I paid a lot more to stay @ Destin West. Fully aware we were coming in October, we could have rented a large house on the beach if we were not going to use the pool. ( we couldn't) |
