This one bedroom suite includes a front deck, a small rear deck, kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom, and laundry closet with an up and down washer and dryer. There is also a broom closet, and furnace closet. The unit is located away from the road, and opposite the pool. The website has a good map. Our stay was for 12 days in early February. The kitchen is well equipped with stove, dishes and silverware for four, pots and pans, can opener, cork screw, microwave, dish washer, fridge with ice maker (check the mettle rod in the top is down to make ice). There are two TV's and a DVD player. All you need bring is consumables, and chairs if you are going to the beach.
Evidence of hurricane Ivan is only evident in the leaning palm tree. Our late arrival check-in (requires a code for the gate and another for the lockbox to the unit) worked out fine, the suite was clean and tidy, the outdoor pool was too cold to swim in and the outdoor hot tube was not working. The indoor pool and tube worked fine. The is a cable modem in the room with an ethernet cable, and when it quit the modem was replaced in a day. The weather for our stay was cold (frost on the car one morning) and biggest complaint was the noise of the furnace. It has no cold air return so the door to the furnace room is louvered so the sound of the furnace is louder then you might expect. The Tiki Bar is also a bit noisy on the week-end. Outside, the rain (and we had lots) took some time to drain away.
There are miles of beaches with white sand. As the weather was poor we used our new gps to find interesting shops. Driving 10k. either way will bring you to fast food, with groceries etc. to the east.
All in all we had a good stay, friendly staff and neighbours, good rooms, no snow (we are from the frozen north), and quiet times. More...

It would be nice to have beach access or some walking trails around the premise.

My husband and I stayed in this unit for our honeymoon and absolutely enjoyed ourselves. The home we stayed in was clean, well-equiped with everything any person could need or want. I have stayed at the purple parrot summer 2004. The location was convenient to local restaurants, grocery stores, walmart, souvenier stores and gas stations. The best was the resort cleanliness, pool area and tiki bar. We have nothing negative or least to say about the resort. This is our new vacation resort for summer family trips to come. We have also recommended this resort to many of our friends and family. Thank you for our safe stay.

The place is the best in the area! Our unit was fantastic and had one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Hospitality was great and very accomodating. I loved being poolside and hearing the waterfall and it was disappointing when it was turned off at night. The only other disappointment was that the Tiki Bar was closed on Labor day. I thought that was a missed opportunity for the bar. I will go back to this place many more times. More...

The condo was very nice and the people in the office were very nice also. The tiki bar was not open when they said they would be. The office thought they were open but we stayed right by it and it was not open. The pool was very nice and a nice hot tub. I saw on the internet when I returned and was looking it up for a friend, that they have an indoor pool. If they do it was never mentioned to me, nor did I see it. It was rather cool at the time and that information would have been nice to know. Overall it was a good place to stay. More...
